I just bought a Colt Rail Gun (best gun name ever) and the trigger seems to have a lot of play in it. My first question is can I fix that by tightening the little allen screw that's inside the bottom of the trigger? If not who is a good 1911 gunsmith that I can take this to and have back quickly. It's my ccw gun so I would like to have it back fast.

did some google'n and I found out that the screw in the trigger is an over travel screw. The trigger seems have movement up and down as well as left to right and it seems to have a quite a bit of creep in it. I'm ganna go shooting soon so I will see how it does. I wanted to wait to get a trigger job for a little bit. I guess we will have to see.
DO NOT mess with the overtravel screw! Improper "adjustment" (ie dicking with it) can and will result in hammer/sear damage which is not cheap to fix not to mention an unsafe firearm.
What you are describing is normal for a production pistol. The factory cannot afford to hand fit every trigger so they find a happy medium that drops in.
The fix? Have an oversized trigger such as a Grieder installed. This is not the same as a "trigger job" however where the engagement surfaces are precision honed and polished, springs are tuned and the internals are massaged for a virtually frictionless action.
