Our granddaughter is getting married on a cruise soon and I've never been on a cruise. I have no idea what kind of security they have. Has anyone ever looked into concealed carry on a cruise.

Unauthorized possession of a firearm in international waters, not a good idea. Keep in mind you still have to bring the gun back in to the country, good luck with that.
Like carrying on a plane wont happen
Try contacting them??? They would be a better source for the answer than us...
We've been on more than a dozen cruises. Not once did I feel threatened. Security is pretty good, mostly behind the scenes.
You go through a metal detector each and every time you board the ship. It's not as sensitive as at the airports but you know what the law says about trying to carry through a metal detector. . .
Plus, you'd be in big trouble if Customs found that thing in your bag when you disembark.
Leave the damn gun home and avoid the trouble. Relax and enjoy yourself. If you're going to Mexico or some other place where you won't be comfortable on shore, just stay on the ship. They have plenty to do if you're so inclined.
Another case where Will Rogers was correct. "A gun can get you into more trouble than free legal advice."
ive been on 5 cruises and will go on my 6th in Feb even in mexico ive felt fine everyone is extremely nice bc they want you to spend $$$ there.
Most cruise ships are registered in European countries that don't allow their serfs to carry (like Norway and Denmark) so when you're on a cruise ship you're not in America anymore (this even counts for some Alaskan cruises). That goes double for ports of call.
Don't try to take a gun on a cruise ship your you'll end up in a foreign prison.
