So how many members have actually written their representatives, congressman, Senator or even the Evil O expressing your positions? Or are you just hoping everyone else will do it? I feel the lack of unified effort from the firearms community is what allows this kind of threat to happen. So are we fighting or just watching our rights go away? And yes, I have written my State and federal representatives.
I have, and even posted it here for others to use.
I have to be honest and say no I have not. But i have to say its because I do not know how. If you have a good template to use, please help me out.

Got a generic auto generated response from Udall.. and some spam email. Got a form letter from Bennett but at least it has my name on it and is about the topic so it seems that someone at least read it. Haven't heard back from anyone else. I will be sending out another round of letters again.

The unthinkable events which took place in Newtown, Connecticut are staggering. Like all Colorado families, my family was shocked and deeply saddened by the violence, and my heart is with the victims, their families and the entire state of Connecticut. As Coloradans, we know how this type of tragedy can shake a community to its core and in the aftermath of these abhorrent acts our priority should be on supporting the survivors and families, and healing our communities.
We must have a real discussion in this country about finding ways to stop these types of senseless shootings. While no one law is likely to prevent a deranged individual committed to taking life from doing so, we should have a comprehensive and civil conversation about finding the right and most effective solutions to protect our communities and particularly, our children. This includes exploring a number of areas, such as mental health services, violence in our culture, and a review of our gun laws.
A Sandy Hook Support Fund has been established by the Newtown government to provide the victims and their families with support services during this difficult time. If you send letters to your congressmen and senators the letters are actually sent to another facility first to be irradiated for anthrax and other things before they make it to the senate offices themselves. This can sometimes take weeks. Email correspondence these days or even a phone call to the local office can be more effective.Quote:
