Goof Off, It'll take most anything off, most anything.
Besides HunterCO's shop [Whacko], where can I find this stuff?
any hardware store. take some baby oil or other petroleum base product, rub it onto the area that has crap on it. let it sit approx 20-30 min wipe off. clean up with some rubbing alcohol and you should be good to go.
Thanks Jim, I'll give that a try first and see what happens...
Man this glue is petrified...
Lighter fluid (Naptha)
carb cleaner will remove it but it might discolor the hand gaurds in which case you get new ones.[ROFL1]
If the crap is petrified you have nothing to lose. I use "goo gone" it generally will remove any sticky substance and not harm anything. I don't know were to get it I have not bought any in a few years I buy in bulk.
Home Depot carries Goof Off and they have one for plastics too.
This stuff is possessed by the devil. It is so hard, for a minute I thought the handguard was melted or something, but then I chipped a little off with a pin. I'm going to let this oil soak a bit more and see what happens. I have carb and brake cleaner for when I've had enough...this .45 upper is begging for a rail anyway...
