Fort Apache
She Wore a Yellow Ribbon
Rio Grande
Original True Grit

The Searchers
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
Connager (Sam Elliott- filmed here in Colorado), Sackets and Young Guns (have a friend that was in Young Guns)
The Val Kilmer-Kurt Russel Tombstone is a great classic. Another is 1958 Glenn Ford's "The Sheepman" aka Stranger with a Gun
Pale Rider

All things Eastwood. Huge Clint fan here...
I was always partial to Once Upon a Time in the West
Lets not forget Blazing Saddles...lol
Anything with Clint Eastwood. And, personally, I liked Young Guns and Tombstone.
Pretty much all of em.
And The Duke died in The Cowboys.
High Plains Drifter...http://www.furiouscinema.com/wp-cont...drifter_07.jpg
I like the Clint Eastwood films. The original True Grit and Rooster Cogburn, Rio Bravo, The Cowboys and most of the rest of the John Wayne movies. Tombstone is great. Jeremiah Johnson is fantastic with all the scenery, just beautiful, I enjoyed Will Geer's character but I would have let those tourons freeze to death.

It sounds cliche, but The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly stands out for me because of Ennio Morricone's score. La Storia Di Un Soldato is my favorite. It's in english (and obviously sung by italians) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2LLVJBVufM
In the movie it's played at the union POW camp (so confederate prisoners) when they're interrogating prisoners. The bridge fighting between the Union & Confederate troops with the Union Captain was just beautifully done.

A cool villain in another film was Gauche in Red Sun.
Maybe not quite a western, per say, but I"m gonna throw out The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams as an honorable mention.
Paint Your Wagon.
What??
The original True Grit,
A Fistful of Dollars,
and if Firefly doesn't count as a western, dang it, it should.
El Dorado
No particular order:
True Grits
Unforgiven
Open Range
Lonesome Dove (pretty much any western with Duvall)
The Outlaw Josey Wales reigns supreme
Open Range
Tombstone
Unforgiven
"Unforgiven"...man, that might have to be my #1 choice of all time. Yup. It is.
There are so many good westerns. John Wayne, Sam Elliott, Clint Eastwood... I also liked any Western with Yul Brynnyr in it.
Tombstone was great, and I really enjoy Silverado, and Open Range.
How could i forget? Quigley Down Under!
I'm a huge fan of the Duke so in addition to those already mentioned,
Chisum
The Sons of Katie Elder
And my all time Favorites
Big Jake
The Shootist
But to be honest I love Westerns and I am a huge fan of Clint Eastwood, Sam Elliot, Tom Selleck, Kevin Costner and Robert Duvall as well, all of them, spaghetti westerns what ever I love Westerns, I mean who doesn't have to watch Dances with Wolves, I loved Tombstone but I also loved Wyatt Earp.
