Anyone local here shooting the 6 or Turbo ? I sure would like to pick your brain , and see what you think before I start this build . The Turbo 40 * seems interesting , but not enough data for me to be sold on it yet . And an outside shot , does anyone have a Grendel bolt for sale ? Only piece I need at this point , and would just take a bolt or a BCG if you don't want to separate .
I have a .223/6mm and its pretty damned awesome. The Grendel is OK, my buddy loves them. I like that the same bolt allows shooting 5.56/300BLK/6mm-.223 and they all form from the same brass.
who made ur 223/6mm tube? I have a bhw tube for mine, and looking at maybe trying a les baer...Quote:

I have a SUM Broach cut 6x45 that is insanely accurate by Dtech. He is now using Shilen because the supply of SUM 6mm tubes are so hard to come by.
Have you seen the DTI line of 6mm's? They are based off the 6.8SPC instead of the Grendel. Basically ballistic twins depending of whether you prefer using Grendel or SPC brass.
The 6mmDT is just a neck down, but the DTI is blown out increasing capacity like the Turbo. Since making the DTI he doesn't make the DT any more.
BTW if you don't know who Dtech is... Mike Milli of Bemidji Minnisota. One of the fathers of off caliber AR's. His rifles and barrels are world famous and sought after in the hunting AR community.
If his guns don't shoot under MOA he wants them back to find out why! Most are well under 1/2 MOA.
I think the 6 223 is pretty awesome at 100 , not much better for the AR15 frame . But I'm looking for a wildcat that will go out much furtherQuote:

67rs, I'm not much help but, I have a 6mmAR-P barrel from ARP on order. I researched it for a while and decided to go that way. I have a Super bolt and gas tube coming from H also. My barrel is melonited so it might be hard to ream it out to T40 but we'll see. I went with the 6mmAR due to the case being shorter, read grendel case, than the 6.8 versoin. (Don't get me wrong, I have two 6.8x43s right now, 18" & 12.5".) So its not the "mines longer than yours" mentality, I just wanted the option to use up to the 105/107 bullets. I didn't want to go with a 6BR because I already have two 6mm-284s for the top end gun. I hope to learn from some of the answers you get here too. JerryQuote:

Have AKA-Spook do a 6-LBC for you and you will be happy. Both Spook and the caliber are highly recommended.
I don't know the difference between the 6mmAR, 6mmAR-P and the 243LBC but I'm sure its "just enough". I just happened to get a chance to get the 6mmAR-P from H.
HUGE +1 For Mike's stuff. I have a 25 DTI with an 18" barrel which is a 6.8 SPC necked down to .257 with a blown out shoulder. Single pass in the die, load and virgin brass is still shooting well within sub-MOA. With once fired brass 1/2 MOA is cake. It'll put out 90 grainers at 3k+ so it's a performer too. I've got him building me a full tilt varmint 223 upper as well right now since his price for the quality is cheaper than I can do myself mainly because of his deal with Shilen for the barrels. Great dude to deal with but if you want to talk you have to call right away Monday or Thursday Mornings as he doesn't answer the phone outside of those times otherwise he'd never get anything built.Quote:
