Although I think the cyclists are idiots an should find better places to ride, I am fairly polite to them and do my part to share the road.
It is a lot easier to share a lane with them on my motorcycle. I even try to stay off the throttle so the noise doesn't spook them when I go by. And I have never been tempted to "bang bars" with them either. (You motocross/super cross guys know the drill.)

I don't know, I frequently do these same trips (St. Vrain, lefthand, sunshine, coal creek, golden gate, bear creek) in both a huge truck and a road bike without issue. Am I super talented, or just trying to be careful? Unlikely to be the former.
To the "they should find better places to ride" - let's say you need to get 50, 70, 100 miles and some hills in. You just can't do that on bike paths, and I'd argue bike paths are more dangerous. But, take heart, all of these guys are indeed paying their taxes for this too. My "better place" is the track but Boulder's closed, Erie hasn't opened yet, and the Springs takes forever to get their hours sorted.
I have little respect for cyclists as they are always hogging the road and pay little attention to the rules that are also applicable to them in terms of road use.
What really used to grind my gears though was when I was out running and they’d ride by me with little to no passing room and making as little noise as possible so they scare the crap out of me and my GSD. Maybe I should’ve let my GSD off leash to see how fast they can go?
