Currently less than 10 acres. Several engines onsite as well as 2 helo's. With the humidity where it is, it should be OK. Looks cool though.
PS. Good to hear your still kickin up there, encore.
Latest report is two separate fires at 5 acres and 20 acres respectively. 5 acre one seems to be receding. 20 acre burn is growing. Multiple engines and hand-crews on site. Helos still tasked.
Just checked out that fire at 7:30 PM, from a distance of only a few miles. Now there are two pretty good sized fires with NUMEROUS hot spots. Have some of our more important papers loaded in the truck just in case. Please say a prayer for us poor old fire threatened folks.
I just passed there a couple hours ago. I couldn't see much from I-25 on the Raton side as I was driving north, but could smell and see the smoke. That area needs a break from fires. Shame to lose all that beauty.
Over 100 personnel on scene now. Estimate of 40 acres.
Uggghh.. and I have to go there this weekend..
Oh right... You expect me to make friends! Bastard!

The rainstorm really helped quite a bit on this side of the peak for the Pipeline fire. I haven't been around to see the Crazy fire on the other side yet.
lol See, lots of people want you for your free beer!
Where do you drink down here?
