I can't comprehend why people love summer >< (In winter, you can always put clothes on, but in summer, there's only so much you can take off...)
yeah dude... ive been a pissy bitch today... must be the heat lol
Go to Phoenix Arizona for a day, then you will appreciate the temp here a little more............
Yep. I figure this about sums it up.

The heat is getting to you. Next time place your car in park before taking a picture with your phone.
Lived in Tempe for almost 15 years. This is a cooling trend IMO.
Lived in Mesa for 17, its not at all bad here unless the humidity ramps up like it did lately.
Snort. It is over 90 in my shop now and it is the end of the day and cooling down.
People say Denver is a dry heat, especially compared to the DC area and the south, but i have to say it aint a dry heat for about three inches off my body.
Holy s*&# is right! JM, you're almost out of fuel! It's too hot to be stranded on the side of the road on empty! [Coffee]
It ain't hot [Coffee]
Bunch of panzies! I'm just thankful we Dont have humidity. Course I spent a good bit of the day in the air conditioned truck, air conditioned house and at the pool. The other bit I sweat my nuts off mowing.
Just remember girls wear less when its warm....
I work outdoors. working in hawaii, had to ring out my shirt some days(sweat not water). Worked in Vegas, LOTS of water(+nuun tabs) and hefewizen. Working in CO....a breeze. :)
Your whining again. just saying.[beatdeadhorse]
Can we have a subsection for weather related threads?
I've had the pleasure of a few summers in that part of the world. I have No idea how people have survived there over the centuries? We could not even operate during the day and the nights you were lucky if it dropped below 3 digit temps. Truly a shithole! 100 degrees at 3am felt like heaven compared to the middle of the day.
Speaking of the weather. I don't remember it raining this often for several years. I'm liking it.
Maybe that explains why they're so pissed off all the time? [Coffee] Afghanistan gets to be a lot like CO- at least in the temperate times of year (winter, spring, fall) but summers can top out at 125 where I was- 6,200ft. Nothing like Kuwait at 0200 and it's still 95+... We only went out at night it was so hot.
It's been pouring here for a while- while looking outside I saw over 20 lightning strikes in less than a minute... Sure hope the rain keeps up, maybe we can beat this drought!
You work inside bro. That 50 yard walk from the car to the building too much?
My brother sent me a weather update from where he lives. Wanna trade?
I'm from Arizona so I have been right at home lately, but I have to say I sure am happy we haven't had many wildfires(knock on wood) I get the feeling that is going to be a little slice of hell working a fire in this heat...
Oh yeah, my son is up for the month, he is going to Diesel school in Phoenix, he says its like air conditioning up here LOL
You don't know heat until you spend a few weeks in Lake Havasu City, AZ in late June and early July. I have a few friends who live there and it got up to 128 degrees in late June of this year. Like Colorado it's a dry heat but dry or not when the temp hits 120+ there are no words that can explain it. We used to ride motorcycles when it was 110+ and it feels like you're being blasted by a giant blow dryer.
NTC was easier to me than JRTC. I had a visit to Ft Polk in July and the heat index climbed so high we had to black flag two days because we hit 110+ and had all that nice swampyness to contend with. Ft Irwin got to 105 in May when I was there though. Working on a flight line in a Ft Hood summer wasn't pleasant either now that I think about it.
Not a summer fan myself. Where I grew up if it was over 85 they told you on the morning news to wait until dusk to mow your lawn to prevent heat stroke.
One little trip to Ft Polk made me not ever want to go there again. And I was at Benning at the time. Benning was fine for me because I only had to play for short periods of time since I was at Martin Army Hosp.
In my field it was always strange how things worked. First 6 years were TDA and last 6 were TOE and one deployment after another. after DS they tried to put me back in a Hospital and that was a big mistake. [Bang]
My girlfriend left the ac off.... Just got home..... 80 degrees downstairs..........
Noticeably hotter upstairs...........
Not good sleeping temperature.
