So it turns out the Speaker of the House, pissing and moaning about how exemptions, waivers and special exceptions to Obamacare are bad has been in secret negotiations for some time with Harry Reid to keep the congressional subsidies for Obamacare premiums in place.

This was the last straw for me. Over the past several years, the only reason I kept my party affiliation as Republican was so I could vote in primary elections. But this ended it.
Changed to Libertarian.

It's this simple: they don't ever ever ever ever do what they say they're going to do. And you vote (and evidently will continue to vote) for them based on what they say they're going to do. Tea Party Republicans held firm to their "No" stance on the gov't funding bill...144 in the house and 18 in the senate. What you seem unable to understand is that first and foremost, I'm a conservative. The Republican party BEST represents my conservative values AND the Republican candidate can get elected...which is far better than the fantasy put forth by Libertarians that "if only enough people would vote for us we could get elected, too". I have never said Republicans are perfect and I often criticize them...this thread is one example. But I also don't live in a utopian world wishing and hoping things were different. I may not really like the reality and I do what I can to change it...but it's reality nonetheless.
I find the Libertarian party only slightly more palatable than the Democrat party.
I suppose I could change my affiliation to Unaffiliated...but it wouldn't change what I believe nor how I vote.

Lets get the guys in there that will reverse the government growth trend and lower taxes and repeal the ACA and not replace it with another government run intrusion into our lives. I have heard republican say that they want to keep some parts of the ACA and remove and replace other parts. That dog just don't hunt with me.
