I've heard that an officer was taped beating one of his kids and it was given to the chief and nothing was done about it.
That's hearsay and I have no back up.
I heard a few things this morning. I won't say cause I don't know the truth.
The chiefs wife ran daycare and had my kid about 2.5yrs ago. We pulled him after a month. She was shut down last week.
Dont know if it's all connected.

Transparency in government is a joke, sealed records should be illegal. Kicking a kid who is already down,makes that guy a disgusting asshole.

According to the arrest affidavit, Yachik's daughter told interviewers at the Child Advocacy Center in Fort Collins that she had been choked; force-fed hot sauce; bound with handcuffs and plastic zip ties; locked in rooms; punched and kicked; beaten with ropes; and prevented from eating. She said the abuse occurred almost daily for several years. When the girl was interviewed again by detectives Friday, she confirmed what she told child advocates.

The short version is the former officer entered an Alford plea and received 3 years probation, 30 days work release jail, and 80 hours of community service. Berthoud no longer has a police department.
That is correct, Berthoud's Police Department is now the county sheriff.
Figures he got off free. If any other person had did this they would be locked up for 10 years. This peice of shit should be behind bars, our justice system at work pathetic!!!
