Nothing worse than these black racists holding their own people down just to contribute to the political successes of white liberals.
That popping sound you just heard was my head exploding...
My takeaway from watching the whole video is that black folk don't oppose gun rights, they just believe a LOT of lies about whites, white gun owners and the NRA and that there's a strong tendency toward mindless groupthink.
At any rate, the outreach by folk like Colion Noir is clearly desperately needed.
Illustrates who the TRUE racist's in this nation are doesn't it?
But wait.. that is not all...
http://www.theliberalgunclub.com/ <-- libtard club who thinks Obama is too conservatives. They are a bunch of armed tree huggers.
Part of the ever-increasing baiting for race wars in the country. If civil war is indeed coming, this will surely be a part of it... Lord help us all.
Black folk don't read "American Rifleman," and I don't read "Ebony."
What's the problem?
How many whites are in the NAACP?
Well he's posted the video on his page.

My guess is the opinions expressed by the "black folk" in that video are probably shared by most liberals. Not just black liberals.
That video linked in post #1 is basically a rorschach splatter: if you watch the entire video, there's something for everyone, regardless of whether you are for gun control, against the NRA, for the NRA, pro-gun, anti-gun, for the constitution, etc.
If anything, I'd comment that the producer failed at creating a cohesive message of any kind whatsoever.
When confronted by such blatant racism and stupidity it is hard to be civil.
Amused that these folks don't understand that NRA is a civil rights organization fighting for all Americans rights without regard to race.
Just watched it...
Is it just me, or does the skinny lady in the black sleeveless dress think she is obama?
ETA: WHOOPSY!!!! I said "black dress"...Does that make me racist?

Who's to say that wasn't the point? Much in journalism today follows a certain pattern that leads the reader to go away with a level of 'uncertainty'
Or put in just enough middle-of-the-road, or somewhat-opposing-viewpoint to be able to CYA later, if need be? [Dunno]
I feel a few of you are gunna feel a bit silly with your statements when you watch some of the other videos put out by this group
http://www.youtube.com/user/BlackFolkDont/videos
Context is EVERYTHING.
The whole concept is "black people don't ..." then they pick stereotypical subject and interview folks
like one video is "Black People Don't Swim".
From: http://www.policymic.com/articles/23...you-never-hear
3. The NRA has a history of supporting the Civil Rights Movement.
While African Americans were being terrorized by the Ku Klux Klan, where the Klan were sometimes aided by local law enforcement, the NRA setup charters to help train local African American communities to be able protect themselves. The most prominent case being in 1960 in Monroe, N.C. where the local National Association for the Advancement of Colored People head Robert Williams also chartered an NRA Rifle Club that successully defended an assault on one of their leader's homes by the KKK without casualties.
"Black Folk Don't: Camp" is actually pretty amusing.

The stupidity of people never cease's to amaze me!!!!
The point of this video seems to really be escaping you all. It's meant to illustrate how ludicrous and uninformed a lot of Black people are on the topic of the NRA. This follows their motif of showcasing stereotypes in the Black community, as is showcased by the rest of the Black Folk Don't series.
It's a silent look at what effects the media and engineered culture can have.
Clublights caught it.
I think most of us understand that this video (and the entire series) are meant to be a jumping off point for black folk to discuss and debate their own prejudices ... but most of us have been commenting on the anti NRA prejudices and the politics and thought (or lack thereof) behind them on display ... I don't think anyone here has been critical of the makers of the video.
Hmmm...do I smell shill?
ETA: Apparently he was a shill, and he and his post have been removed.
Thanks, MODS.

My mistake. Just wanted to get that out there to ensure we weren't all dealing with red herrings.
I think this right here is a perfect illustration of why racial tension is the powder keg it is now.
It's as asinine to suggest that white people are solely responsible for all the ills of black Americans, as it is to pretend that racism doesn't exist or there isn't an element of white favoritism. Neither black nor white Americans in 2014 can completely blame the other, but both sides refuse to accept any responsibility. The black kids playing the knockout game, shooting each other over gang beefs, and committing felonies made a conscious decision to do all of those things and have to pay their penance for them. There wasn't some mystical white man forcing them at gun point to drop out of high school and do drugs.
But we're kidding ourselves if we sit here and ignore social programs and doctrines that crippled funding in the public school systems in Black neighborhoods, encouraged unemployment amongst single mothers, and provided media initiatives that glorified destitute models of living. Black folks today weren't slaves or civil rights contributors, they shouldn't expect to be paid retribution as such. What should be expected however, is a joint initiative among Americans as a whole to stop encouraging a culture of loose sex, drugs & alcohol, lack of education, and entitlement. We're here now regardless, so instead of each 'side', so to speak, trying to wash their hands of any responsibility or obligation, we should be coming together to address the loss of liberty and prosperity amongst the middle class.
Unfortunately, until both black and white racists alike stop blaming each other for crippling the nation, Barry, the UN, and all of the rest of the rogue's gallery are going to keep picking apart any aspect of free living that they can. Race-baiting is the perfect red flag for the bull that is American social tension.
There wasn't anything racist about the video. It sure highlighted that there are a lot of lies being spread about the NRA, and that a lot of people believe them though. Some of the comments here were shameful.
All those people had the same opinion. Big deal.
So I could find 15 pro gun "black" people and interview them on white couch and make video.
Keep calm gentlemen, the vid has a total of 13k (+/-) at this time...
I'm going to address the 900 lb. elephant in this thread before it goes any further.
Reading through this thread and the comments has concerned me greatly. I have yet to watch the linked video and probably won't. It sounds like it's having the desired effect it's creators intended: to perpetuate racial hatred from all sides. More us versus them, black versus white crap.
Folks, not only are we a like-minded firearms community, or even just a CO firearms community, but we here at the CO-AR15 forums have always been a special niche. We are an extended family who can look beyond the differences of our racial, religious, cultural, etc. backgrounds to become one people. We embrace this diversity to make ourselves stronger as a whole and better as individuals. I, for one, am grateful for this diversity amongst our membership. We don't see the differences but draw on the strengths of our commonalities. I wish this was a representation of how the rest of society thought and acted too; sadly, it isn't. Some of what I'm reading here, whether stated implicitly or inferred through generality disturbs me. WE ARE BETTER THAN THIS!
If you look back several posts you'll see a post has been deleted and the member, a new member, has been banned. How you choose to respond to that warning will determine your continued status as a member of this site.
