Looks nice I will be checking it out this weekend.
That place is nice, went Monday and packed some trash out and a bucket of brass. It was pretty busy when I went.
Have not been out there since the changes.

Forest Service info page link ^^
So did they close shooting out there except for the range now??
Right on. I'll research before heading out. Range looks alright though.
All of Pawnee is still open to shooting unless there is a specific closure posted. This is just an organized designated spot.
Do you need to bring your own target stands? If so, what do you guys use to mount your targets to? I have only shot at indoor ranges so far.
I have always brought my own homemade target stands just incase. Mine look similar to this. But again I have not been out to the new designated range there. I would assume it is bring your own.
yes you have to bring your own target stands
only paper, cardboard, steel targets allowed
If the weather is nice would anyone be down for joining me next Friday the 28th?
Does it only go to 100m?
I will be heading up there some time in the morning. I plan on arriving around 10am. Look for the red 4 Runner
Front page of the Coloradoan today was an article about the trash at the range.
the range itself has had very little trash. It has been policed pretty good so far, hopefully it stays that way. I was talking to a forest service employee there last week and he was as surprised as I was at how it's held up, he said its a pretty high priority for them to keep it staffed for now then soon they might look for volunteers to watch it. The other areas just got cleaned up recently, all hot tubs and chairs were removed, still look like a frat house though.
I will be there in a sliver ford pickup, just loaded up some ammo for the 45's
About 9:30 the wind came up pretty bad it it got cold! Man before that it was like a summer day out here
Didn't make it up till around 11am. GPS sent me an a wired route that took a really long time. I stayed about two hours until the hammer broke an my AR while i was firing. Then i got a stuck case in my ak. I was a bit windy and chilly! Maybe we can make better arrangements when the weather gets better
Looks nice! Won't be long until some dick shoots the piss outta those signs though.
Wow its a hike from here, 86.9 mi, 1 hour 28 min from my mapping it.
I will head up there in that case
Had my first trip to this range today. All was going well until the Ranger showed and she made us stop all fire to tell us the rules which we were clearly following. Seems like a nice range but we could've used a more friendly encounter.
Anybody could provide directions from denver? Thx
Going to head up Friday morning look for the red 4 runner
They got an upgrade this week, now they have posts cemented in to hold boards for targets.
They are tubes in the ground, they may add more? You can stick like a 1X2 in them for target holders.
anyone go lately? how is it?
