They are from buena vista but deliver to the Denver metro area often. Good guys, excellent install. There's a few forum members that have used them as well.
I bought my Liberty at Big R on a Black Friday Sale
^^^This. Great guys and excellent service. You better give them a call quick if you want anything Liberty as I was told when they delivered my safe that Liberty was canceling their contract to focus more on Big Box stores.
Liberty makes an ok safe. The safe outlet on I-70 sells comparable safes.
I never had an experience with them just heard they use to have good prices? I hope you find what your looking for might try armslist?
If you need a good mover call englewood lock and key. They do an awesome job!
This should probably go without saying at this point... but stay the F out of Gander Mtn.
I ordered a Liberty through them in November. They lost the safe (in their own warehouse) and it took months to get it straightened out. They made it right (after I got a little heated in the store) by giving me quite a nice upgrade out of their inventory for the same price, but it was not worth the hassle.
Murdochs had them previously, and when they did, they were well under the pricing I saw anywhere else. Worth a shot, and the store at 92nd/wads wouldn't be too terribly far from you.
You are a genius J. I will swing by tomorrow to see if they have it in stock: http://www.murdochs.com/shop/freedom...mbination-lock
Yep, and $200 cheaper than Gander, when comparing regular price at both places.
The Big R store in Conifer has them...always on sale and I don't recall the price. The last time I looked they had the sale prices clearly marked with another sign that said, "Talk to store manager for an even better price". I think they're trying to clear out the large number of safes they have in stock.
I bought my Fat Boy (the big one) from Murchdocs. However, I was in the Parker store a month or two back and the prices had shot up quite a bit. The manager said that the pricing increases had come from the manufacturer due to "supply and demand" issues.
That being said, if you're not in a hurry, you can buy the gift cards they run a couple times a year. They give you about 15-20% more in value than it costs to buy the card. Not sure if they run them in the summer or if it's just a Thanksgiving/Christmas thing. When I bought my safe, I had the gift cards, so I saved the 15-20%, plus they were doing a "buy a safe, get $100 off" deal, so it worked out to be an awesome deal.
Bought mine on sale at murdocks a couple years ago for $777 although I haven't seen them at that good of a price since.
I'm late to party but safe and warm for sure. Great guys.
Yup. That's what I was told while they (can't remember the name of the owner right now) were unpacking my safe. He also cleans chimneys, but said safes were his bread and butter and was looking for another brand to replace Liberty. I guess it's the small business guys who are getting the shaft.
Mark, or Marc, I believe. I've talked to him a couple of times, nice guy. I have a hardon to buy a safe from him (mainly because of price, selection, and the all-important delivery & setup!), yet can't afford one yet. I think he told me he's the largest volume Liberty dealer in the state, why the hell would they drop him.....that's friggin' stupid.
just got an email that everything is 10% off at murdochs Friday 2/28. I don't know if you ever verified they had the safes but here's a shot to get 10% off if they do
Mark at Safeandwarm replied to my email.
Liberty ended his distributorship in October, because of the new Cabela's stores in CO. No letters, no discussions, no negotiations, no arbitration, just a phone call saying it's over. He said he'd bought nearly a million dollars worth of safes from Liberty over the last four years, and they just cockblocked him out. They'd rather sell their products through cold big box retailers than through a loyal, hardworking, honest, independent businessman that provides personal customer service such as free delivery and installation/setup?
So I don't think I want to own a damn Liberty safe now, or any of their other brands, or anything made by them.
Fuck 'em.
I would bet that Cabela's made this part of their agreement to sell Liberty products. Most likely said that they will be the "primary" dealer in colorado and that Liberty needed to get rid of the other small dealers. Cutting out the local down home people to suck up to the big box stores. Happens all the time and it's bullshizz.
When Harley Davidson was bought out from AMF by the employees, it took a few years for them to stabilize. But once they started to get stronger and growing, they went after small independent bike shops with a vengeance, slinging lawsuits left and right for all kinds of stupid things. I personally interviewed three shop owners that fought them and barely survived. Not to mention copyrighting all kinds of names and terms that HD riders had been using for years. And they'll still sue someone at the drop of a hat.
No, I'll never buy a new Harley either. Or a used one from a dealer. I may buy one from some poor schlub that needs to sell his though. If I ever buy a Liberty safe it'll be from a private seller as well.
Loyalty is important, on both sides.
Yep this is just another good reason why I'm glad I didn't buy a liberty safe.
I can get brand new TL-15 and TL-30 safes....just sayin' [Coffee]
Seriously though, check out ridgeline safes. They are local in Golden and have many dealers in a lot of gun stores.

Does look promising. Their site says safes and vaults, but I can't find any vault info. I'm thinking about just putting a vault door on a concrete room I already have. Do they only show vaults in their showroom?

Yes they are made overseas. I know that may bother some but, don't let that scare you. It's a quality safe for the price. I know that the owner is coming out with a new line in the next few months that will have amazing options!!
They don't have any vault doors on display but can custom order.
Opie
Are you a dealer for these guys?
If so, could you pm ne a price list?
