Constitutional Convention?

Well, this caught my interest. And my skepticism.

Mark Levin's latest book The Liberty Amendments discusses this in detail and he believes DC is so broke it's the only way to fix the USA.

What is really scary are the legislations in states voting to go around the electorial college and declare all their electorial votes go to the winner of the pooular vote versus how the state votes. Of course that is funded and fueled by Soros.

An Article 5 Constitutional Convention is not the same thing as a full Constitutional Convention (where they can rewrite the whole thing) ... an Article 5 Convention is just for the purpose of proposing specific amendments to the Constitution.

As Samurai said, Mark Levin's latest book discusses this and while I'm skeptical that it can be pulled off, it is probably the only way to return this country to its Constitution.

It seems like it could also be an easy way to strip this country of its constitution, if the powers that be were so persuaded. [Dunno]

Also, constitutional amendments, whether proposed by a full constitutional convention or an article 5 convention, would be subject to ratification by 3/4 of the extant states before coming into effect.

Am I the only one who thinks that any convention that happens won't be for the purpose of guaranteeing us more rights, but as a way to take more away?

How else are we supposed to usher is a New World Order?

This. OUR rights are not a concern here in this process. I believe this would be a perfect opportunity to circumvent some obstacles that our current ruling class have not been able to overcome.

Well kids, I honestly believe it comes down to this.

We either do the Article 5 Convention thing and force our government back into its constitutional box or we revolt. We're not going to vote our way out of this mess.

The Article 5 Convention is much less likely to end in tyranny and death than the revolt or doing nothing and leaving our government the way it is (which is headed toward collapse, tyranny and mass death).

Hope for the best but plan for the worse.

I agree with this 100%. While I think a balanced budget and term limits would help turn this ship around I know better than to believe a politician would vote to limit his/her time on the thrown. I am now off to download another book though...

You're not. If they don't even attempt to respect our rights as they exist now, what makes anyone think that another draft would fair any better?
