Can anyone recommend a local bank/credit union? I currently bank with Chase for my personal needs. I am starting a business and from what I have been told, local banks can be better for businesses.

I bank business acct with Bellco for five years now and no issues. I like them so far👍👍
I don't know if Home State Bank has expanded as far south as Louisville, but I've been very happy with them here in Loveland. It's nice to be recognized when I walk in and to be able to call and speak with someone who's empowered to do more than read a script from some policy manual developed by a committee of starched-shirt bureaucrats in some big city.
My wife is a banker at Colorado State Bank and trust. She can get you set up if you are interested. Definitely a "know your name" type of bank, and small business oriented. Helps that their parent corporation is conservative as well. There is a branch in Boulder.
(This goes for anyone else needing quality banking, shameless plug for the wife)
I love Navy Federal. Left Chase for it and haven't looked back
I'm really tempted to switch my business banking to Elevations Credit Union.. I've heard nothing but good about them from the people I know that use them.
I use Elevations for both personal and business. I have nothing but good things to say.

Been with them for over 15yrs.
No problems with public service credit iniony
We're with Security Service FCU and they've been great.
Public Service Credit union and Navy Federal Credit Union has always treated me right.
ENT FCU
I use Ent and Pentagon. Highly recommended them
+1 for PSCU
I"ve been with Elevations Credit Union for 10yrs, but this is for my personal accounts. They have always been a great bank to deal with, even living 600mi away from a branch.
Bellco is awesome. Been with them for years. Stay away from USBank, Wells Fargo and Chase. The are all money grubbing nazi pond scum.
If you can qualify, Bellco is great.
I think they have some ways other than being affiliated with Mountain Bell / US West / Qwest / Centurylink now.
We're with Public Service Credit Union. Can't complain. We were with Norlarco in Ft. Collins, but they did a bad, bad thing and illegally dabbled in some real estate deals that went south, then PSCU bought them out, been smooth sailing since.
Think about it...if there weren't advantages to dealing with credit unions (hint, you're an owner) the banks wouldn't be constantly trying to put them out of business by attempting to pay off Congress to change all the rules.
