I don't remember which agency but they are doing flights to test air quality around Denver.
The EPA is studying ozone in the Denver area.
It is most likely the NOAA C-130 that is based at JeffCo or whatever they call that airport now.

It is a P3, They also have a King Air and the C130. It is NOAA and NASA doing smog study's. They will be flying everyday till mid-August.

A P3 and a C130 are flying around. I've worked on both so I know them well. I also saw the news story that featured both.[beatdeadhorse]
The guy was so close over E470 this morning I opened my sunroof and gave him a high five. We talked about his wife and kids until I had to get off at Jewel.
Probably checking tailpipe emissions.
