Huh, must be close to election time
My new house rep stopped by the other day. He is running for re-election. Hi, My name is Tony Ex.. I know who you are. I am running for re-election and I just want to drop off these.... that's OK, We remember how you voted. Oh, umm thanks for your time.....
Dick Head Udall called us.
Hopefully the people of this great nation will vote out these cockroaches. I also hope we kick all of them out of our great state.
No one has bothered to remind our citizenry how Udall voted for gun control, and I doubt they'll bother.
If I were to call the Udall/Gardner contest right now, I'd have to give it to Udall for his successful attacks against Gardner as against womans reproductive rights & pro-big business/anti-"common man" commercials. Truth, fiction, or somewhere in between, Udall is painting Gardner very negatively & folks are buying it.
Keep in mind that the average uninformed voter gets their candidate info from tv commercials alone.
Now, regarding state-level politics...I'd say it's anybody's call. The question is whether our citizens can remember anything longer than 5 minutes come this election.
Udall emailed me a few weeks ago touting his strong stance to increase jobs in Colorado. I sent an email that read in-part:
"It's hard to say you value jobs when you pushed unenforceable laws against pieces of plastic that were generating millions of dollars of tax revenue & creating quality jobs in an industry leader that was started right here in Colorado. Passing legislation that out-of-state cronies want isn't representing the beliefs of your constituents. The amount of arrogance displayed to not even feel the need to hear out the people you represent prior to voting was sickening and is NOT what I'm looking for in a representative. I won't be voting Mark Udall in the upcoming election & it sounds like I'm not alone in this thinking. Enjoy your remaining months on office."
The is has actually been pissing me off quite a bit lately.....whenever the TV is on, almost regardless of channel it seems, I'm just inundated with attack ads against CG followed shortly by glowing praise ads for fuckface Udall (almost ran into that piece of shit at the dragon boat festival, luckily I missed out on that).....
What I don't get is where is the opposing message, even if just about who that fuckhead really is and a simple historical account of some of the shit he's tried to stuff down our throats....
Love the Udall attack ads stating that CG was being financed by the out-of-state Koch Brothers. Amazing how they don't seem to think it's a problem taking money from out-of-state Bloomberg.
Tons of money is being pumped into the state to keep Udall in office.
I love the Udall ad where he speaks up strongly about reproductive rights. 'Don't ever let them take your rights from you'. I keep thinking how hypocritical his stance is on the 2nd Amendment.
...but it's politics.
I really wish the abortion issue could be dropped. I get it is taking a life, but women want that choice. Nobody wants to be told what they can do with their bodies, especially women.
Agreed. This is one of the big reasons I have a hard time associating with the (R) party these days. The GOP needs to do a massive overhaul & realize they could alienate some older voters but let's be realistic here... they didn't lose the election because they didn't get enough old people anyway.

This is part of the reason I don't talk too much about politics with the guy who works a few spaces away from me, even though we are the only two techs in that part of the building.
He's republican, idealistic and very adamant about no abortion, and all the other stuff. I like the guy to death, and value the fact he has his own opinions, and researches facts himself.
However, I'm 28 and support a womans choice. Does that make me a weakling? A feminist? no, none of that. I'm a modern man, living in a modern society, that is mostly free. Shoot, if I got a chick pregnant, I'd be there to raise a kid and support her. If she wanted an abortion, I'd support that too.
To me, forcing abortion bans, would be like someone growing a parasitic twin on their left ear, when everyone who has seen said twin vomits uncontolably and you decide to get it removed, the doctor telling you it has to stay.
Now just so I'ts not an issue, I'm not saying kids are like parasitic twins. They are both just cell growth.
ps, on my post, under my name, it says ssdg. What is that? What is an ssdg? Sorry for the thread distraction, just not as technicaly savvy as I should be for my age.
What's it worth to you to find out what SSDG means? [Coffee]
