not their lowers. The bbls i'm very happy with. They show them as back ordered.
Was just wondering about their lowers really. Maybe I should just look into a Beretta CX4 carbine.
I have a Kel Tec Sub2000 in .40 S&W that takes Glock 22 magazines. On top of a 16" barrel, it has the added bonus of folding in half. The extra barrel length adds about 150 ft/sec, but the sight radius makes minute of silhouette at 150 yards relatively easy.
It is not as solid as an AR, but they come in 9mm and .40 S&W, as well as different versions are compatible with SIG P226, Beretta 92/96, S&W59/4006, as well as Glock magazines. Finding one at a decent price can be tricky.
I think Noah at Ark Tactical has a personally owned one. You might contact him.
Id like one as I have a bunch of glock mags.
But they are pretty hard to find and you have to send you bolt out to get it relieved for the feed lips.
I built one a 9mm AR with a CMMG dedicated 9mm lower that takes colt style (uzi) mags, runs great. If I found a LW or DDLES lower for sale I would probably buy it though and build another 9mm.
crazy question..
what is the appeal of a 9mm carbine? are you doing SBR with it? recoil for follow up? ammo cost?
asking is there a actual purpose or is it just a "I want it " item?
I'd go with Quarter circle 10 before LW. Then buy a bbl and bolt from them or other vendor that has them in stock. Install on upper of your choice and shoot away. The Glock Lowers / lowers that use glock mags. The Bolt carrier needs to be relieved on one side to allow clearance of the ejector. Most bolts also need to be profiled for clearance of the mag, when using glock mags, their lowers etc.
Bring her up and have her road test mine or the spouses SBR's, suppressed or not. That will take care of any justification you need. . We have 5.56 (223 for the numerically confused) 22 & 9mm. The 9mm is a 10.5 oly upper, i hope with removal of ejector on the lower, the oly with work with no mods..
I like them since it uses the Glock mags I already have. I wasn't sure if I would like that mag release after seeing how large it is in the picture. It's about the size of a nickle but it didn't bug me at all and in fact it was kind of cool since its different. Zero issues with Glock mags releasing even after I cerakoted it for the customer. My only real hang up is the price and that's the reason I have held out buying one for myself.
