Think it is 35 degrees or under is when the bullet typically returns to earth faster than terminal velocity
and thus is in the lethal category.

betting man and say definitely in the terminal velocity category which is 80mph for a typical 7.62x51 170 gr round

I remember a story about a pilot that pulled his plane out of his T-hangar, fired it up and took off, then ran out of fuel. The story goes that there was a hole in the wing, and another in the hangar roof. Implying that the round penetrated the steel roof, and then his fuel tank, upper skin and lower skin, presumably. It sounded a bit far-fetched to me, even back then.
While I was in Iraq, there was a guy who was about to enter the shower trailer when he was hit in the head with an AK round at a downward angle. The round wasn't going fast enough to penetrate or even crack his skull. Pretty much just broke skin and gave him a mild concussion. Knocked him on his ass though.
Was this the rich Arab gun shoot convention or something? Most are poor as shit right?
