F no!
What the Hell? Now there is actually a valid argument that video games encourage mindless and indiscriminate violence.
GTA was one thing, but this is a whole new level of grotesque.
EMP will not come soon enough.
ISIS inspired video game, it is how they roll...
Umm. Who in the f**k thought this was a good idea for a video game? Kind of glorifies random acts of violence. You know, kind of like the Aurora theatre shootings.
I was was pretty open to letting my kid play violent games. I mean, they're just games, right? But things like Call of Duty are war games and violence should be expected in war. Halo and similar games were very fictitious and the things you were killing didn't even look human. From what I can remember, the purpose of the GTA games wasn't to just run around killing people indiscriminately. (although, that's what most people did.)
This game offends me and since I find it offensive it must be banned.
Does bring up some thoughts on how far "do what you want" should go. I thought some of the throat slashings etc in COD:Black ops or one of those was kinda gory and I knew far too many 10 yr olds playing. But not quite all that worried.
This however is taking poor taste to the pretty extreme. Especially the dialogue alone.
Thought US still has x or nc17 or some equivalent for games. I can't imagine it wouldnt get that and if it does would mean no mainstream stores would probably carry it. In which case I'd be a little more relaxed that only adults would likely be buying it vs random dumb parent getting little timmy whatever he wants from the shelf of best buy.
DAMN!
Well when you consider it's illegal to fly an American Flag ( HOA, Town Ord.) in some parts of the country, OR wear a shirt with a picture of it, because it OFFENDS HISPANIC students.
When you are threatened with subpoenas because the mayor wants to know if you're preaching hateful (READ: opposed to gay what ever) sermons.
When you condemn CHRISTIAN GUN OWNERS as BITTER CLINGERS, Yet welcome Mosque knowing they teach Sharia law.
WHAT DID YOU EXPECT?
It's too late to DRAW A LINE. WE as responsible ADULTS / PARENTS have been OVER RULED. By Schools, Government, HELL for some of you, even HOA'S.
We don't even let our 13yo play COD. Just recently started allowing Halo.
I understand what this guy is trying to do...I honestly do. And there's a large part of me that says "more power to you". This is a big middle finger to the people who are trying to ban violent video games to protect the children because in general the people trying to ban video games are the people who don't parent their children anyways. It's easier to set little Timmy in front of the TV with a controller in his hand than to engage with him and, you know, actually parent. So these people start feeling guilty about it and the way they want to resolve the issue is to ban a video game they wouldn't want their 10 year old to get their hands on.
Bottom line is this game isn't made for 10 year old Timmy. Anyone with a brain cell left in their head knows that. Is this game over the line? Abso-freaking-lutely. Does that mean that this guy shouldn't be allowed to release this game? No way in hell. Adults should make their own choices on what they buy/eat/play/watch/read.
*yawn*
1998 called, it wants its moral panic over a video game where the protagonist "goes postal" back.
But, I'm sure even you will have to agree that there will be lots of little Timmys who will get there hands on this game and be playing it.
I'm not condoning censorship or banning anything.
I'm just questioning who in their right mind in this society of ours today would even think developing or releasing a game like this was a good idea?
"The developer described Hatred's theme as a reaction to "'politically correct' trends in gaming" and sought to make a game that eschewed politeness, colorfulness, and games as art."
-Wikipedia
Did that game trailer raise your ire?
Congratulations, you were just successfully trolled by the game's developer.
Someone needs to hack it and make a CCW person in that game and take him out. That'd be pure win.
Just how big is that left hand, inside coat pocket anyway? Does he keep a cornucopia in there? That is a pretty long knife to keep in the front of the waistband. There are significant dangers from that. I only saw two mags, whoops, I mean clips. Are they the "perpetual" ones they use in Hollywood?
i thought the long stringy black hair thing was played out. Is it back in style? I don't think I can pull off that look.
Normally I don't care what's in a game.... But holy fuck. That's brutal.

I guess I'm a dinosaur and the last time I played a game on a home based console it was probably Super Mario Bros. I have no damned idea what this game' real point is. Is the hairy fuck the guy that is the player? So you pretend that you're a blood thirsty psycho and go around just killing unarmed citizens? Is that right? If that's the case then I have to say that the creator of the game is one sick fucking asshole that needs to get the shit choked out of him. I don't get it.
Oh I get your reference!
Honestly.. the game play looks like Diablo II or original. Can't remember.. but since there isn't magic or swords/axes/other pointy things... I mean that's what you did in Diablo, slaughter EVERYTHING. It might be fun to play, I doubt I'll go around blasting innocent people after. no promises though.
I remember arguing that one of those COD games went to fat when it came out. It was the one where you play the file of the terrorists at the airport. Of course I had never played it.
wow wt...... This is some false flag game that obummer ordered to be made.
Yo, if you didnt realize you can just walk along with the other terrorists and never shoot anyone except the military response at the end.
Also what everyone left out is that you whernt a terrorist, you were an undercover CIA spy or something like that. At the end of the level the terrorists already knew who you were and shoot you.
That's one way to try and further turn people against the gun culture and gun owners.
Yeah I know, but the whole thing was a little much. It didn't do much to propel the story, just to show you how bad these people are. They could've taken a different approach to get you to hate the antagonist instead of forcing the player to walk with terrorists as they kill innocent people at an airport...
Freedom of speach/expression. Take or or leave it
I get the satire he was going for. Everyone blaming games when it was really bad parenting. He showed what a bad game really is. Maybe people will stop blaming halo for a screwed up child with absent parents.
Reminds me of the movie Natural Born Killers.
this seems more than a whee bit idiotic, surprised it wasn't an AR and the guy wasn't clean cut GI looking... I mean if you are going to to go full retard, why stop short.
...and it will sell like crazy.
Wow.
The game itself doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that *WARNING-PUT ON YOUR TINFOIL NOW* it seems to me like a sort of agent provocateur/false flag deal.
1. Make a game that's sure to offend, enrage, scare, and disgust the populace.
2. Ensure the game features high capacity automatic assault ghost guns.
3. Wait for some lunatic to reference the game when he drowns his sister/stabs his mother/shoots his wife/does some other wacko shit.
4. Push for another firearms ban of your choosing.
This game is basically no different than GTA; the difference being the actual exposition that says you're going on a rampage verbatim. If you play GTA with someone and DON'T run people over and fight the cops, they'll complain. Just sayin'.
Guess I'm late to this thread.
