There will be a street legal version as well, @ about 250 rear wheel HP and +/- $50K.
I can build a street legal 300 HP Hayabusa for under $25K, including the new bike. [Muaha]
317 hp would be insane! I had a 600rr for a bit and that was fast (in my opinion). I couldn't imagine 317 hp. Haha.
300 hp? Thats more than all of my vehicles combined....
The scariest thing is that it didn't FEEL fast. The power with the supercharger was utterly linear, just more everywhere. It made over 240 hp at 40% throttle. If you were foolish enough to whack the throttle open in 4th at 100 mph, it would light the rear tire. 153 lb/ft peak torque. Thankfully the swingarm was stretched, otherwise it would have gone over backward on the first test ride.
Next bike will be a gen 1 busa
That's awesome! I remember the first time I went full throttle/redline on the CBR. I slid back on the bike. LOL. The next time, I braced myself a bit more. Very peaky power. It was quick under 6k rpms but after 6k, it was a different machine. Bikes are pure euphoria. Just you, the machine and the road. Late night rides were the best. Sigh...I miss the bike but I did say my thanks every time I made it home safely.
very awesome, but ill pass so i dont kill myself!

Tfogger , would it be possible to slap something together for around $2500? I know you had a shop down in Golden, still there?
Excuse me.... I have to clean clean my sock........... Its............soaked!!!!!
my most favorite bike ever was my 2008 ZX-10R. Then some stupid fuckers stole it, and the '08 CBR1000 that replaced it didn't even come close to the fun. I won't get another bike until I have my own personal garage again >: \
$2500 doesn't go very far in the world of forced induction, but would go a long way towards a nitrous engine setup. The floor on a decent reliable turbo setup would be around $4k for around 250 HP on a 'Busa.
Yeah, I'm still in Golden, same place for 18 years next month.
