Moore was the fifth city officer shot in five months, police said.

The officers tried to question Demetrius Blackwell, 35, who has an extensive criminal background, after they saw him seeming to adjust an object in his waistband, police said at a weekend news conference.

Blackwell pulled out a gun and fired several times into the vehicle, police said.

My dad made a comment on FB when I posted a in memorial pic today: "Bad news for NYC, I'm sure there will be marching, rioting, looting and burning tonight as another white cop has been gunned down. Or does it not work that way?" He said it in jest, obviously, but it points out how lopsided this culture is today. Criminal dies everyone riots, cop gets senselessly killed doing his job and the majority of folks don't get too upset, except for the good decent folks like here. I blame the media.

That being said, how many of us have organized a bluelivesmatter march? I'd be down for a couple miles and a donation. It's up to us, the peope, to demonstrate what we believe in. Talk is cheap. I blame laziness.

Reverse racism would be that you love everyone. Racism is racism, no matter what color the racist is. Some of the worst racists i have ever seen or heard are black.

The organizing something. Sorry I wasn't specific. I agree, a #bluelivesmatter rally at the capital would be better. I'd love to get some support started for this, I'll help, but I'm so busy I doubt I could handle all of it myself.
