Hard to say. If that's a regular road and big trees then I'd say some sort of photo shop. But, if that's just an ATV trail and the trees are small, it could be legit.
Legit
Legit.
I'd say it's real. I've seen one from 30 feet that was at least as tall as I am, 6'3.
BS flag. Ratio of moose to trees makes moose 10' at the shoulder.
Take a drive to estes park , hang out close to the park and wait. It;s possibly a ps pic, however they ain't no chihuahua up close.
Unless you've seen a large bull up close it's hard to imagine how big they are. That one does look unusually large but it's hard to get any perspective of size from anything in that photo. He looks like a freakin' elephant.
Real. You need to use the pine sapling between its legs in the first shot to scale it. That sapling is 2' more or less in height.
I've seen moose that big, but not in Colorado... Not that they don't exist-I've just never seen one here.
Texas moose.
Nah, photo was probably taken in a larger state. The trees in the photo are small and the road is just wide enough for a single vehicle...if you don't care much about the paint on the sides.
Moose: Think Percheron with antlers and an attitude...
I'd say real. We have a good size young male in the neighborhood and he is tall.
I think it's more of a perspective trick than anything. It's more real than Caitlyn Jenner
According to the wiki, depending on where they are they can get quite large. As tall as 6.9' at the shoulder.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moose#Size_and_weightQuote:
The largest confirmed size for this species was a bull shot at the Yukon River in September 1897 that weighed 820 kg (1,808 lb) and measured 2.33 m (7.6 ft) high at the shoulder.[82] There have been reported cases of even larger moose, including a bull that reportedly scaled 1,180 kg (2,601 lb), but none are authenticated and some may not be considered reliable.
I think the 6.9' height is in the range of 'average'.
My sister was once bitten by a moose.
Yea seems to be average at the shoulder. Which means the head and antlers are easily going over 10'.
I'd bet money the photos are real. It's a big fawkin' moose and a small ATV trail. People are just too quick these days to scream "Photoshop!" or go running to Snopes, like it's some big victory to prove that a photo isn't real or what someone said is wrong.
There's nothing in the photo that can give you a real sense of scale. Who knows how tall those trees are or how wide that trail is.. could be a simple walking trail with a bunch of short new growth trees. I see no reason to say it's fake.

I've seen a fair number of moose in Alaska, Canada, and here in Colorado. If, that second shot is unretouched and the tracks on that road represent vehicle tire tracks, it has to qualify as a record of some type.
I tried to look up info on record moose but they base everything off the antlers so there wasn't any mention of size or weight. Seems the big ones have antlers over six feet wide. If the one in the picture has a six foot spread he looks to be pretty damn big
needs watch for scale
Forget the size. The lighting and color is what gives away the 'shop.
I've had so many of my own 'straight' pic's called photoshop-wonders that I won't stoop to doing that to someone else, -even if it's blatantly obvious...
Sun is at about 10 o'clock. Lighting on the antlers is the same as the trees. I don't see shading issues at all.
This picture on the other hand....

Looks to me like they can get pretty fawkin' big. But this is probably photoshopped too.....

Alaska moose.. that is real.
it looks pretty good except where his foot is on the road in the second picture. looks like a really stark contrast in color and shape, which is possible but makes me a little suspect.
I don't see the problem with the foot on the road, but then I know jack sh-- about photography. Hell can't even take a good pic of my guns. But when I went back & looked, the beams of light on his front legs did seem to be consistent with location of the sun and was also consistent with the beams of light on the road. Does the position of the camera also play a role? Again, I can snap a pic, but ain't no telling what it will look like.
I'm pretty sure that's Bullwinkle.
Where's Rocky in the photos?
I think I see a sinister looking little Russian dude hiding in the bushes.....
I think it's real.
Several years ago I did a Yukon moose hunt and was lucky enough to get a big one. 65+" spread on the antlers. I ended up with 660# of BONELESS meat so figure the thing on the hoof weighed very near a ton.
