Super Blood Moon! I'm sure we will go out to take a gander. Who knows...maybe the world will end [panic]
There is a blood moon documentary on Netflix. I found it to be like most hastily produced documentaries where it is 98% filler material and 100% okay to just pass up in the first place.
Been waiting 2 weeks for it. Gonna howl at. Buddy the heeler will get in on it too.

We'd like to see this eclipse tonight but being in the wonderful State of Illinois, you know that it will be way to cloudy for us to see this spectacular event. We miss Colorado a lot already.[fail]
Yup! Heading over to the Chamberlin Observatory near University and Evans shortly. The Denver Astronomical Society will have their own telescopes set up in addition to the big one in the observatory.
yup...and we will be sacrificing chickens to stave off calamity.....I don't have enough ammo for calamities yet.
Chicken nuggets will be sacrificed :)
By sacrificed do you mean eaten?
I intend to. Have to get my tripod and camera set up.
*yawn*
Whens the best time?
Oh, look at that. Sunday Night Football showed the eclipse from Detroit.
Behind the clouds right now, can't see if but did see the shot from the Broncos game
Cant see due to clouds. To bad the kids would love to see it live.
Awesome! It's a neat thing to see.
For those of you that can't see due to clouds, here's one of the many sites broadcasting it live:

i can see it!! Really cool!
Stupid clouds in the way right as the main event started.
I'm getting some nice shots on a 400mm lens at f/5.6, ISO 400 at 10 sec exposure
Damn, I was ready to pull out my telescope and take some pictures, but it got cloudy about 5 minutes before it started here. :(
Yes please post up some pictures.
With my cheap a$$ camera I just get a blurry image.
Using a tripod, forgot to dig for cable release but doesn't seem to be hurting. 10 sec was fine but am playing with 8 sec now.
Moon has risen some more and the clouds moved out we can see it now.
Just stepped out back and took a peek. Pretty cool. Some clouds but they moved by right after I stepped outside.
Of course the clouds came back when I got my cell phone to take a picture.

And I can finally see it. Right as it starts to light back up.
I think I was getting some reflections off the inner lenses but I wish I had my cable release to be sure it wasn't me.
This one is 1/16th size (1/4 size on each side):

at quarter size, it's about 800 kb. Will look at a host.
since it started. Been way up NE with minimal clouds.

Not the best, but here's a look.
Saw lots of pretty clouds. [Shy] Not much moon.
Missed out on it....son of a bitch.
All the rumors are true, the DJIA just lost 300 points!
My final image of the eclipse.
