Yikes, sounds crazy.
Sounds like the guy definitely lost his last screw. Too bad the guy following him with a phone didn't have a weapon on him.
Probably lucky he wasn't. Sounds like the police showed up fast, and with multiple gunshot victims, I wouldn't want to be holding a gun when the police arrived.

Part of the problem for media is it happened on Saturday morning ... so they're not going to get much done until Monday. My guess is that if this guy was a right-winger we'd all know his name and his manifesto and browser history would have been published by Saturday afternoon. There's three reasons not to tell the shooter's name. One is they haven't been able to contact his next-of-kin yet, the second is that he had no ID on him and they're searching "the system" for his name. Keep in mind the Oregon LEOs stance that the shooter doesn't deserve the recognition and therefor didn't want to name him. Although I guess the Oregon shooter's profile didn't fit the anti's agenda either. I guess we'll see.
