If enacted, the legislation would place strict limits on the number of bullets a gun owner can purchase over a 90-day period, and ban gun dealers from selling ammunition for a firearm to anyone unauthorized to own such a weapon.


The bills are aimed at owners of high-capacity rifles, but they would also affect owners of handguns with much smaller magazines, even six-shooters.


The provision would limit the amount of bullets a gun owner can buy to no more than twice the amount of the capacity of the weapon ever 90 days, which means someone who owns a six-shooter could only buy 12 bullets every three months, the Brooklyn Eagle reported.

It's these kind of creative "we're not banning guns" but actually "we are banning guns actions" that got DC slapped after Heller. If it's an individual right, even accepting limits on the types of guns one can own, the right must be accommodated. I don't see how this would stand with recent legal precedents.

Often we hear discussions of secession ... the idea that a state might just get fed up and leave the union.

What about kicking states out of the union? If we got rid of New York, New Jersey and California that would go a long way toward saving the country.

I thought they robbed, raped, and murdered because they didn't have jobs? So if the market crashes, denying them jobs, then we'll get more of that bad behavior. On full bellies, with gov housing, healthcare, food stamps, public schools (daycare) etc...

The only way any FSA "Inner city / Urban" family would know anything about any market crashing. Would be if the government cheese wasn't deposited on time. OR lobster tails were not in stock.

Seriously. Why would you want people who own firearms to be competent with them?

I genuinely do not understand the issue here. How many other states make an effort to guarantee that citizens who own guns have the same level of training and practice as their police force?

I'm convinced NY politicians learned everything they know about guns from TV. They saw Barney Fife survive many seasons of "The True Life Adventures of a Gun Fighter Named Andy Griffith" using just one bullet. If Barney survived all the crazy gun fights and shoot outs with one bullet, how many bullets do people really need?
