I'm doing a remodel in the bathroom. I am putting in a double vanity. Moving the electrical from a single light to a double. The right side lands pretty much inline with a wall stud.
Can I use a shallow 1/2" junction box in that location? Other options? Want to do it right so any input would be great.

The only thing I see wrong is you need a bushing where the romex enters the box to protect it.
Also what are you going to do with the center box?
You can and they also make a "saddle" box that mounts to the stud and wraps around the side(s). Comes in handy when you need more space for wires.
A romex connector in the knockout hole will suffice to protect the wires from abrasion on the shallow box on the right.
Do not rock over the center blue box, it must remain accessible due to the splices. You can put a blank cover on it though.
Center box cant be behind drywall, looks like it is in the photo. right shallow box, you'll want more wiring room, try one of those saddle boxes mentioned. Don't forget to ground the metal boxes.

Depending on what is behind that wall you could flip the blue box and make the access on that other side. For looks n shit.
Or, if it's attic above, junction in attic. Appears the switch leg is going up.
Also some fixtures can serve as the box.

Thanks for all the info guys. I'll flip that blue junction for access. It's a bedroom closet on the other side.
