This is a few days old, but I didn't see it anywhere on the forums. I had to run to work so I hit record on the DVR to see if this was just another political jab at the large number of women buying guns since 2001. It was actually pretty good.
The Fox 31 reporter, Shaul Turner, was afraid of guns and had never even touched one before pursuing the story. I thought the outcome was very positive.

We need more news stories like that.
Good to promote that guns aren't evil and one can have fun if you are responsible and follow basic safety rules.

Dems talk about gun safety but if they were really into the safety aspect, they would build more ranges around town to encourage people to learn proper shooting and gun safety. Might help keep the mountains cleaner too.
Its great to see more women getting into it. I've never understood why women aren't as much as men. Women being the physically weaker sex (Notice I said "physically" not "Mentally":D) I would think they would want to pursue more self defense related training and activities.

Yeah, I am hoping to get some land up in the mountains here in the next 5 years or so and then put a little cabin on it with a shooting range like Hickock45 has. Totally off the grid and in the nature.
I don't mind shooting at a busy range until I see people doing bad things. Ever look around at the ceilings and walls at the range? Just image the kind of actions that lead to bullets ending up in those places. I still think it is a shame that there are not numerous places around town like the Cherry Creek shooting center. Last time I was there, it was an hour+ wait. When we left, the waiting area was completely full.
When I win powerball, my mission will be to build free ranges and provide instruction to people so they learn from the beginning how to treat firearms. Yay, gun safety!

FSC on weekdays is slow as all get out. All the hardy Mountain folks use the warm indoor range's this time of year [emoji6]
