GOOD on all counts. Huckabee, Christie, and Santorum need to disappear from politics. Forever. I'm surprised Rubio did so well, and I'm pleasantly surprised that Donald "Authoritarian" Trump barely even got 2nd.
Seems legit on the other side.

That doesn't bode well for Cruz. The GOP winner in Iowa is rarely the party's nominee in the fall.
They're saying 50-49 HRC/Sanders. Even if it was 65/35. Sanders wasn't suppose to be a blip on HRC's pant suit. Fuck Her.
Trump is the leading GOP vote-getter tonight, among natural-born-American candidates.
Alright!! Go CRUZ!!
Trump is a RINO, just saying the things we like to hear.
Poor communists, have to pick b/t a batshit crazy, senile old man and a career criminal whose major accomplishment is keeping her rapist husband out of the slammer.
What's interesting is that at least 6 of the precincts in Iowa were determined by coin flips.
Well the stupid polls were predicting an easy trump win. Then the "expert pundits" last night (Rove etc) said that if the turnout was 130K+ Trump would win, and the size of his win would go up from there. So what happens? 50% more than previous (180K+ vs 122K) show up and Cruz beats the Trumpster convincingly. The pundits and the media have no clue.
I also saw where, at a Cruz rally yesterday, Sarah Palin trashed Steve King, a conservative republican senator from Iowa. The crowd was dead silent. Talk about really bad judgement - a bad night for Trump, Palin, the repub establishment, and Coulter.
I'm beginning to suspect that a sizable percentage of Trump's support is imaginary.
When I start reading comments from the "Trumpettes" on sites like Breitbart, they all seem like liberal trolls to me. If they are in fact Democrats and/or liberals pretending to support Trump as a means of trolling conservatives then lord help us if Trump is the candidate.
I suspect he'll win New Hampshire though (if nothing else because its an open primary state and as I've long lamented, GOP candidates are generally picked by Democrats in New Hampshire).
Remind me again:
How did Reagan do in Iowa?
Who won Iowa in 2012?
Out of the last 10 Iowa caucuses, how many Iowa winners went on to get the GOP nomination?
Long way to go

Ted Cruz ADMITS his staff spread 'shameless' whisper campaign that Ben Carson was quitting presidential contest just before Iowa caucus voting began – but blames CNN for starting the rumor
Trump is playing each and every one of his supporters. Playing them like fiddles, Trump is a RINO at best, and Trump won't do anything he says he'll do.
In terms of delegate counts for the candidates, it definitely matters who wins IA...and most other states. Winning IA may not be a good predictor of who will eventually win the nomination or go on to be president, but winning there definitely matters to the candidates.
And public support means dick if a candidate isn't nominated because the public that favored him/her didn't vote in a primary or attend a caucus.
Cruz lies to supporters about who is funding his campaign.
Can't be trusted.

Almost all of these donors are Washington DC lobbyists. All of them directly funding Ted Cruz, not a Super-PAC, but his direct campaign. – SEE FOR YOURSELF – The entire statement:
…”I will never get — nor do I want — money from the DC lobbyists”…
…is a flat out lie. It is not a misstatement, it is a complete and total falsehood.
♦ Then take a look at the #2 Bullet Point: “After winning Iowa the Washington cartel is most certainly more determined than ever defeat me”. Again, look at the truth:
But he's no doubt entertaining.

Sure he's entertaining... if you're the kind of person who finds spineless egomaniacs entertaining:
I'm not really fond of Cruz but I'd vote for him against any of the Democrats. That said, he is just about the most unlikeable candidate from the GOP. Most of my middle of the road coworkers said they'd vote for Hillary over Cruz. Regardless of his politics he will cost the GOP the White House if he gets the nomination.
I'd rather have Cruz on the Supreme Court than in the White House. Having said that, I'd take any one of the Republican candidates (including the ones who dropped out) over the Dems. Any one. This country cannot afford another Democrat in the White House, especially the three that are running and the two or three that are waiting in the wings in case the DOJ does its job and actually charges Hillary.
Rand Paul is out.
Yup, just heard that too. Rand is a good one but he just can't draw like some of these other people. I hope Cruz picks up Rand's people.
Santorum expected to drop out tonight.
Yup, just waiting for Bush, Carson, Fiorina, that moron from ohio.
I'm a little surprised that Paul dropped out. Maybe the ones who have never had more than 5% support will take a hint (LOOKING AT YOU, HUCKABEE AND KASICH)
