Sorry for the interruption

Had some serious issues this morning, and site was running but slowly. I've been planning to move this site to a new server, and this seemed like a good opportunity.

I've been migrating stuff for a client in the same rack, and got a killer deal on a new server for the site, so we are on brand new hardware with more specs than we need!

Should be running well, but let me know if there are any issues.

Looks good ... we've had requests in the past about how to contribute to the site's upkeep. Now is yet another opportunity to revive (and sticky) this ...

What I liked this time was when I went to the site and it was down, a message said you were working on it. I didn't even panic, very comforting. Thanks for all you do J. You the man, your the greatest.

In the mean time, nothing is stopping folks from contacting J privately to provide him with a donation directly. J is the one who's been paying out-of-pocket for this site for some time now. I'm sure he'd greatly appreciate anything that came his way financially speaking which would help shoulder the burden of the maintenance for this site. This has the added benefit of being 100% anonymous beyond the two parties.

Just a thought.

I was under the weather yesterday so I didn't even notice, but had I come here and seen the "working on it" message, I too would have found it comforting.

Done with some tuning. Site is flying now!

Hmm.... If anyone gets a database error on posting a new reply, let me know. Just got one after I was done working in the DB. Hope it was a fluke.

Nevermind. I found the issue. The search_index table had crashed, and was causing issues on insert of a new post to the search index. Repaired the table, and good to go now (i think.)

Let me know if you see any other abnormalities.
