Where are they located?
Thank you for the heads up.
oooo, really? wtheck. thanks for the information.
Think I can get a good deal on a French Curve?
Oh, thank God they waited til we left. If they'd closed up while the wife was still there I'd still be moving all her fabric and quilting shi...stuff. I moved about 48000 lbs of it as it is. She could outfit a Costco-sized fabric store.
I just checked their home page. No coupons, discounts or sales prices, just their 20-50% off of everything.
GEEZE. :(
Oh, and for those of you that don't know, there's a site online that has much the same as Hancock, with terrific prices and coupons:
www.wawak.com Material, notions, machines...Hancock's absence will be felt, but Wawak sure makes the hurt go away that much quicker.
Bailey Guns, I am officially jealous. But I'm also working on my own hoard of fabric...
Why wouldn't Joann's just go buy all of Hancock's stock?
I was looking for colored ribbing at Joann's today and am feeling way over my head.
I can't discuss the project right now, as it's supposed to be a surprise gift.
Cool. Well, there's supposed to be at last one employee whose main job on the floor is to answer questions and assist customers with their 'project needs', so keep that in mind.
Maybe they're in almost as bad shape as Hancock is ... a lot of businesses that appear stable and solid are on shaky grounds these days (if you think the economy is in anywhere near the good condition or even "recovering" as the MSM and Obama Regime are telling you, well you're going to be in for a shock ... and probably soon).
Okay, so I went to the Hancock's in Wheat Ridge today. Today was the "official" start of the discounts, and there were plenty of people! Right now, the discounts are kind of 'meh' - about 20%. That being said, there are a whole bunch of fabrics available and I had no trouble finding plenty of high-quality stuff to heap into my cart. The liquidation company that bought out Hancock's paid @ $65 million, so they're going to want to recoup their money. I spoke with one of the employees, who said the company figured this sale would go on for a couple of months, because they also had to empty the warehouses. Judging with how busy it was (I waited in line for @ 1/2 hour, and they had four very efficient people at the cutting counter) I don't know if that's the case.
That's because you shouldn't be doing anything for yourself, you selfish person you. You should be buying it retail because that employs moreillegal aliensundocumented citizens at what should be a living wage and lets the government take their cuts off the top. It's all Bush's fault!
[Sarcasm2] (for the sarcasm-impaired)
Nearly forgot. Hobby Lobby is discounting all their Coats brand thread to make room for their Hobby Lobby brand thread.
Did I pull up the wrong site? Whats going on? And plus one for wawak.com Ordered a ton of suspender buttons that were way better than the ones available locally and about !/2 price.
