Like 10 shot. 3 dead.
Well shit!
This is not going to end well.
God help us all.
FOX is reporting 1 suspect dead and 2 on the run.
Right now they're saying 3 officers KIA, 3 officers wounded (condition unknown) and police are possibly in a standoff with at least one other suspect.
"Having a black President will finally put an end to race issues in this country."
How's that workin' out for ya?
The outcome of these killings will not have the desired effect, if it is in fact #BLM. Seems like domestic terrorism to me.
If you're so afraid of the bear, why do you continue to poke the bear?
I believe today was the day of a bunch of BLM protest marches were supposed to be happening around the country. Or was that yesterday?
"Day of Rage" protests were on Friday. Thankfully they were a non-issue.
I am getting really sick of this crap.
Today is a "Support the Police" rally, starts at 1500 hours at Civic Center Park. https://www.facebook.com/ProPoliceRallyCO/
I know it is facebook but it is all I could find.
Should this turn out to be BLM related, how can a group of people that don’t want to fear for their lives when being pulled over by the cops be stupid enough to think that killing cops will help? I can’t imagine being a cop and walking up to a car that may or may not have BLM activists inside. If only one of them makes a slightly unusual movement they will likely all be shot. I can’t believe that cops would not be instructed to draw their weapon when approaching a car with possible BLM supporters. And when I say BLM, I can’t imagine that BLM profiling isn’t going to be standard operating procedure nationwide.
Such a tragedy. Life can be overwhelming if we let it. I will say prayers for those who are murdered and those who are injured unjustly.
Two things occur to me:
Police officers do not have an organized and coordinated plan to profile, assault, and/or kill black people. A few officers, scattered around the country are bad and do these things. A few officers have made poor decisions and done these things unintentionally. The vast majority of officers are dedicated to doing the best job possible, being safe, and going home at the end of their shift.
Black people are not a monolithic group who follow the leadings of Al Sharpton, J. Jackson, #blacklivesmatter, etc... A few groups and several individuals have decided to target police officers. We don't know who or where these groups or people are until they make themselves known. Some groups and individuals, who are black are racist and dislike white people or hispanic people, or asian people, etc... The majority of black people would like to live their lives and pursue their own notion of hapiness just like other Americans.
We cause problems for ourselves when we confuse who we are dealing with. If we wrongly judge the motives of other people or groups we often inflict pain and tragedy on others who do not deserve such treatment.
I will make some suggestions and they are just suggestions: Try to treat others as you would like to be treated. Defend yourself without being defensive or offensive. Avoid situations you know or assume will be dangerous. Always try to be aware of your surroundings and be proactive about leaving before trouble begins. The hardest thing of all, is try to be humble. I struggle with these things on a daily basis, but when done well, these suggestions have helped me get through my career.
Be safe.
I had a chance last week in Dallas to speak with a bunch of officers who were in town for the funerals representing various PDs from around the country (and unexpectedly got to observe one of the funeral processions, which was impressive in scale), and let them know there are a whole lot of folks in CO who support them and truly appreciate what they do and the sacrifices made....seemed to me that they genuinely appreciated hearing that.....

Possible stand off will one of the suspects right now, location unknown.
One of the responding officers describes the suspect with an AR-15.
I'll just say that embracing "the thug life" can have consequences.
Initial report is that the dead perp is from Missouri.
I guess the noncontroversial thing I can say is I'm saddened for those officers' families.

Suspect has been identified as a black male named Gavin Eugene Long of Kansas City, Missouri, sources tell CBS News.
Dead Baton Rouge shooter attacked police on his birthday
Obama expected to speak soon. I'm sure it'll be more blaming guns than accountability where it belongs.
If there's anything that can make me switch from Fox to CNN it's Shepard Smith. What a BLM sympathizing douchebag. He was talking to Bobby Jindal and jumped square in his shit because Jindal used the phrase "all lives matter". Jesus...Smith looked like he was gonna cry when Jindal said it again.
^^^You’re right and Shep is a gun hater too. He wants cut off anybody that says it’s not the guns’ fault. I actually do watch CNN when Shep is on.
Shepard Smith used to be a somewhat decent reporter if always a bit sensationalist and emotional. I suspect he's been getting the "Faux News" BS in NYC and is bending over backwards to "prove" Fox is "fair and balanced" but in doing so, he's imbalancing the news for toward the left.

Anyone care about Hillary anymore?
Aren't at least 90% of these shooters (D). (D) is a mental disorder. (D) is communism, (D) is nazism, (D) is racism, (D) is anti-law&order, (D) is the crap we wipe off the soles of our shoes. (D) should give their paychecks to me so I can redistribute them as I see fit.
So the dude is a white hating, cop hating, islam loving, black power supporting, veteran? Damn, he really touched on all the current flash point issues didn't he.
I mean seriously, he's like a dem poster boy.
This stuff is going to snowball. The vast majority of LEO's have never treated it as an "us vs. them" job...but I suspect some more will be now. I hope all the boys in blue don't let this get to them, changing the way they police.
This president has trashed this country more than we know. This is insane.
This is what it is to be a real cop. This is what we look up to and for in the worst of times. This is what makes the recent ambushes so reprehensible.
That being said, the biggest thing to stop this insanity is that those "few officers, scattered around the country are bad and do these things." are held accountable so that justice is seen on all sides. It is when those few are seen to represent the whole that the unjustifiable is justified (wrongly) by the idea that two wrongs can make a right. I feel so deeply for the families of these innocent protectors just doing their jobs.
To those cops out there 'be safe' does not seem to be enough in these times. I hope/wish we never have to hear about another story like this.
I've seen reports that this guy was angry over police issues, but nothing so far about Islam or being a hard-core racist. One of the officers he killed was black.
Well, once you make the decision to shoot at the police, you can't exactly be selective.
I know. It just illustrates the idiocy of targeting white cops when you know the probability is high that non-white cops will show up to help them. To me anyway.
Most of that stuff is in videos he posted or on twitter. He had youtube videos blasting "crackers" and working for white people. He praised the black panthers, malcolm x, and Elijah Muhammad. He defended the murders in Dallas calling it justice. He said he was a former member of the Nation of Islam.
Yet once again, the media is starting to change the narrative to make his ideologies appear rightwing. On one video he mentions that he doesn't want to be associated with any group. Badabing, badaboom...he's part sovereign citizen movement...at least as far as the media is concerned. That explains it all, he's a crazy rightwinger.
