I've witnessed people getting hit by trains. In my profession, it's inevitable. It's sad and unfortunate. Prayers to the family.

I lost a friend similarly about 25 years ago. Tragic and senseless.

Newspaper article said the person was wearing earbuds. I quit listening to the radio in the car because I can't hear what is going on around me. If I learned anything from military service it was "situational awareness".

Walking near the tracks, if you are too close the train can literally suck you under. It happens. I lived near the tracks until I was 19. I have seen too many tragedies, most of them to friends.Quote:
