Very sad news. He will be missed.

I thought you were talking about Mr. Fuji
Makes me very sad.. guess it's going to be a movie marathon tonight.
Some classic movies RIP
"My name is Jim, but most people call me..... Jim."
RIP Gene. But I honestly thought he'd passed years ago.....
He and his beloved Gilda are reunited.
We'll have to break up the movies into one per night- I don't think we could handle the hilarity of Blazing Saddles AND Young Frankenstein in the same night.
RIP Wonka
Gene has the Golden Ticket now. RIP
Yep, I guess it'll be Willy Wonka, Blazing Saddles, and Young Frankenstein on the tube tonight ... dang, better leave work, I'll be up all night watching them ...
Sad to bid farewell to yet another icon from when comedy was actually funny and some stars had class.
You guys watching the movies shouldn't forget "See No Evil, Hear No Evil". That one always cracked me up.
:(
Bummer.
Steady as a rock.
Yea but I shoot with this hand.
They were playing a lot his best stuff on the tube, and on the internet news sites...everytime I'd say "that was one of the funniest lines he ever did!", then they'd play another, and I'd day it again, eventually I had to admit that almost everything line he ever uttered was the funniest line ever. That is genius.
RIP
Reunited with Gilda again!
Heaven is a better place now.
RIP Gene and thanks so much for bringing so much laughter to our lives. You made the world a better place!
RIP to a truly funny man. Thanks for the laughs!

I wish I had "The Frisco Kid" on Blu-ray ... "Blazing Saddles" was overall a better picture but I thought Gene did better work in "Frisco Kid".
Yep. Sad day. My wife said it's time for a movie event too.
You guys are cracking me up with his old lines.
Wow that sucks, RIP!
That's just so classy. Damn, I wish I'd written the fan letter I was thinking of several years ago after one of my regular viewings of "Willy Wonka".Quote:
Wilder's nephew Jordan Walker-Pearlman said the comedy legend died late Sunday in Stamford, Conn. from complications from Alzheimer's disease, a condition the actor kept private for three years so as not to disappoint fans.
"He simply couldn't bear the idea of one less smile in the world," his nephew said.
