Has anyone had any luck? Where? Jarvis and I are going to Spanish Peaks this weekend. Anyone have any good maps? I have found a few maps but more is better. Hope to have some gobbles pictures posted soon.

I'm also going out this weekend. It'll be my first turkey hunt. I'm going south by Trinidad. I'd like to hear any other reports or success or failure. Any suggestions. [Shotg]

Seriously, I would also like to hear of success. I hope to be turkey hunting early next year whenever the season is.

I saw some turkeys along the road to Bishops Castle this last summer. Hope this sighting helps you bag one!
All we got was a big fat goose egg.... In fact if I got a goose egg I could make a nice goose egg omelet filled with turkey.

My first time out Turkey hunting. I saw lots of hens but no toms. I didn't hear any tom reply's to my calls either. Was fun anyways. Dam almost took a hen but resisted[Weight]

From watching the Rio Grandes on our place, in the fall they will be in groups of all hens and babies, or all jakes and toms. We've got a couple of groups of hens and babies that will walk right through the yard, and a group of a dozen or so jakes that stay farther away.
We did have the group of jakes walk by the barn last Saturday though, about 70 yards away. I need to get a license.
