Passed my CISSP exam!

Needed an investment in myself after all of the stupid crap was going on in my life.

Been studying for 3 years for the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (Since my medical discharge after 15 years). Company I am working for bought out making future uncertain... on top of all the really crap personal and family issues going on. Plus I don't know how long I will be able to handle doing lots of physical work with my 24x7x375 pain.

Decided I was going to save up $5000 to take a trip to DC to attend a boot camp and take the test following the class.

GOT out of the testing center after 2 hours (of a 6 hour timeframe), and ...


I PASSED!

I have needed some real good news for a long time. Could not have done it without my wife. She has spent her spare time going through all the books that I bought making flashcards for me to take everywhere.

Let me say from experience that it's never too early to start planning for those CPEs. :)

When I took it in 2008, they graded by hand and you had to wait a month to get the results. Don't put off the CPE's; the deadline will creep up on you.

Great job. When I took mine, it left me with a headache for about 3 days. And we had to wait 6 weeks before we knew if we passed or not.
