My name is Dave, and I admit I'm addicted to trying to find the bulls eye on every shot.

Know several members here from CRC. Couple of them are costing me $$$ as they shed light on Vudoo Gun Works V22 and the 40x conversion system........thanks guys (I think?).

Grew up in COS, spent a few years in OK and 5 years in the hell of CA before getting back here in the 90's. Am currently located on the eastern plains, ever further east than saudi aurora, lol. Lost all interest in shooting when my dad died in 2003,(he was my shooting buddy) but started up again with a couple of decent .22 leagues a couple years ago and even shot with Lones Wigger a few times in one of those leagues. It's nice to have some common interest and camaraderie with fellow enthusiast.

Learn a lot from rimfire central and a couple other forum sites, but this site tells me where all the local action that I can participate in is, thanks!

Ah a Rimfire central guy, I like you already :) my kids take part in weld county 4h shooting sports, so it gives me an excuse to bring out my toz-12 and savage-Anschutz when I take them to the range :)

For MR jreifsch80 I'd really like to see your toz-12. I was looking hard at a TKO side lever a little while ago, but got a Martini MK2 to scratch that foreign rifle itch instead.

The toz-12 is pretty cool, mine is an earlier one unfortunately I don’t have any rear apertures for it (takes a strange one) but it is still functional just has a large rear aperture without one of the actual covers. I love the early toz’s not a single piece of plastic. Are you talking about an old school big bore mk2 or a bsa martini international .22? Those martini .22’s are pretty cool. I’d truly love a suhl 150 but an original one not something that’s been hot rodded for benchrest. Most of my foreign rifles are Maurers and Mosin nagants

BSA International .22 MKII. Going use it for ARA bench rest this year. It barely fits on my one piece rest, but it fits! Only mods are bolting a rider plate to the front stock in the factory holes, and machining a scope rail to line up with the screw holes for the barrel block scope mounts. Heavy brute though, 13+ lbs. Barrel is 29" and 1.125" at breach tapering to .8" at muzzle.

Suhl's are neat as well, that was also under consideration but are pretty hard to come by.

That sounds like a fun rifle, yeah suhls are a pain to find but I’ve seen a handful for sale the last couple of years, my opinion is if you want a nice nostalgic fantastic shooter then suhls are great but if you’re going to rebarrel it and put it in a different stock anyway then you might as well get a good used Anschutz 54. I’ve also always wanted to find a decent Vostok ural (the one with the locking lugs on the bolt) as for somewhat more affordable I’ve been playing with the idea of finding a decent Schultz and Larsen m70. (Also probably going to rebarrel a spare savage mkii with an m70 barrel one of these days for fun) the only gripe I have with most precision .22 rifles is that there’s nothing in the budget price range for lefties, my sons a lefty and is just going into 4p class for 4h so I had to mount an 11mm rail on a left handed savage for an Anschutz sight also the only heavy barreled left hand savages are stainless with hunting type thumbhole stocks and for whatever reason thumbholes are not allowed for Colorado 4h. Well that lefty savage will probably get a new barrel after a season and I’ll probably make an adjustable stock for it.
