Hawaii introduces trigger modification bill

You can bet it won't be long till the Dems in Colorado come after trigger mods. All this does is make criminals of good, honest firearms owners. Like just about every other anti-gun law on the books.

If 3/4ths of them know they can't be accountable for their own advocacy (NIMBY). The other 1/4th is too stupid to figure it out.

Oh they love big government. Till they want it out of their personal life.

I read a reply in some comments section about the .gov and some protections for "undocumented aliens" They said The Constitution gives anyone in the country protection. To which i replied. You mean the same Constitution you say is outdated and a living document when it comes to the 2nd Amendment?

OPPS they didn't like that call out.

I didn't modify the trigger, it came that way. Prove that it didn't come that way when I bought it.

Simple solution to stupid laws.

While the burden of proof is on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, I doubt it'd be difficult to subpoena a Smith & Wesson spokesperson to testify they don't put a Geissele 3.5 lb two-stage trigger in their base level M&P Sport II AR-15 models.

But what prevents an out of state gun dealer from making the mod out of state and selling it to a Hawaiian. Or custom built Ads, ect.

But these silly do nothing, feel good gun laws will never be enforced except as add on charges.

These gun mag and mods should not be illegal, they should be sentence guideline enhancers. Punish the criminals that use these scary item more instead of infringing on law abiding freedoms.

Arguably, the way some of these laws are written, an AR15 with a cyclic rate of anything above zero would be illegal.
The lower receiver is considered a firearm without a trigger group, therefore, it is incapable of firing. Add a trigger to it, and you are increasing its rate of fire.

why would a gun dealer spend $249 to upgrade the trigger on an AR? It doesnt increase the value necessarily.

I think a better example would be what if a gun dealer acquired an AR-15 from a seller and then sold it to a Hawaiian already modified.

I dont know what prevents them, but you can bet Hawaii will hold the current owner responsible.

agreed. your post makes me lust for law school because 2A law is something I want to specialize in. Hope to be starting paralegal school next year, then on to law school.
