Must have tried some this morning ?
Turkey bacon is the spawn of Satan, given to man by him to deprive them of the goodness that is true bacon.
As we type I have PIG bacon cooking in a a cast iron pan !!!
Kings ran a saturday & sun $2.99 lb for Oscar Mayer Hickory smoked bacon, limit of 5. They're in the freezer now.
Ray reminded me to get some actual bacon on the counter to defrost - thanks!
You sir speak the gods honest truth!
Man, I wish I had the space for some old refrigerators. I got people asking me to make some all the time. The real deal, not fake shit LOL.
Costco has them most of the time. I got a 10 pounder a few weeks back, split it in quarters, and froze 3 of 'em. I split the other one and did 1 part with a maple syrup cure, and one half with pepper. It's what's for breakfast. As a note, unless you're willing to make your own all of the time, do NOT let your wife taste real home smoked bacon.
Turkey is eaten one time a year!
Turkey bacon- ew, ew, ewwwww......
Sam’s carries pork belly too
Costco Timnath has it every time I have been in there
Don't forget to stay away from uncured bacon too.
Substitutes generally do suck.
The problem with Turkey Bacon is calling it bacon and pretending its a reasonable facsimile of pork bacon. Much like Soy Milk is not a good substitute for milk, or Boca Burger patties are a good substitute for hamburger ... and Taco Bell is not a good substitute for Mexican food.
Stop pretending its a substitute and then it finds its place, so enjoy your fried turkey strips, your soy juice, boca patties and Taco Bell, just stop pretending they're Bacon, Milk, Hamburgers or Mexican food.
Its not the items themselves, its the deception that makes the world a darker place.
I think it's food blasphemy to put turkey and bacon as a compound item !!!
You put bacon in the oven and then in the microwave?
Go to your room and think about what you've done!
Making bacon is my favorite activity.
Pigs are my favorite example of recycling. Taking garbage and making it delicious. [Flower]
I saw pork belly slices at Sam's Club in Lone Tree yesterday- a whole BUNCH of it. It was already sliced up, ready to cook.

Homemade beef bacon, made from flat cut brisket, trumps any/all other bacon.
That is all...

Dude. At Littleton Adventist Hospital, they use turkey for everything. I had a breakfast burrito that had turkey bacon with "vegetarian green chili" this morning. The turkey bacon had the audacity to look like bacon, but it was awful. To add insult to injury, the chili was red in color and wasn't good at all.
If you really like good bacon and don't have the bandwidth to make it at home, Nueske's: https://www.nueskes.com/store/bacon/
Growing up as a kid my Mom hated pork, so she bought only Turkey Bacon. It was the only bacon. Now I buy the Hormel Natural Pork Bacon stuff by the lb at Walmart. I refuse to be in the same room as someone eating Turkey Bacon.

Want to know an easy way to appreciate Turkey Bacon SOOO much more?
Try one of these, or just know they exist. You will suddenly like Turkey Bacon a bunch more. (Though I agree, pork bacon all the way, its a travesty these even exist).
