Lets do it.
Of course it has to be on a match day. I can't complain though since most people who talk about how important 2A is wouldn't even take off work. Wonder if the turn out will be bigger than the last time we did this.
If anyone does this, unlike last time, where some of us members "accidentally" ran into one another, lets plan on meeting at a certain corner or someplace on the lawn, that would be recognizable by everyone.
At least it's not on a weekday. The lefties may not have to work during the week, but us working folks don't often have that option.

I’ll be there
I work on Saturdays. Why always on a Saturday? No, I can't get out of it, I have to work.
Found this on another forum. Whose going to attend?
It sure would be nice if these organizers got together with other pro-2A groups to coordinate these events, to get maximum participation etc.....
I live 2 hrs away. Hate to drive all that way and it is a bust.

Son will be earning his Shotgun Merit Badge that day.......
April 14th is the date of the Colorado Repulican State convention. Unfortunate that of all the things they could have conflicted with, they didn't avoid that.
Not that the GOP is pro-gun any more, now they're just slightly less anti then the Dems.
O2
Im planning on going.
More information here. Colorado looks to be 11am at the Gov Mansion..

So who's in? We need to have a strong showing. We need to meet up. Im gonna take my Gasden flag off the garage wall, or would a American flag be better?
Wife made plans months ago, so that's what I'm doing instead.
I'm going. Think I'll bring my sign from the big rally before the gun laws.
I am going to go down and check it out. Not the best timing but we have to make a showing or risk being marginalized. Bear in mind if we get 20,000 people to show up the press will only report it as a few hundred...
GOA sent me email about this. Link below. Apparently, it starts at 11am-2pm at the Governors Mansion. Heading down. Too bad, I don’t have “Don’t Tread Me” flag.

What's going on with this? Not a single post from someone there?
I'm up to my eyebrows in work- I couldn't make it. Did anyone go?
I went, about 30-40 there at 11, did a parade circle around chickenpoopers house, then settled down at the intersection. Probably got somewhere near 200 folks around noon. Nice to get flipped off by libs and progs a few times - most people slowed down a bit to see what was going on. Was nice to see some great folks honking their horn and giving us thumb up. A couple of Denver motorcycle cops were watching at times from 30-50 yds away, but the crowd was well behaved although some were vocal. Would have been nice to see more there, but with fairly short notice probably tough to make that happen. Some had to work, some had shooting matches, some had previous plans, some just had higher priorities.Attachment 74377
Bummer, I was really hoping more people turned out. Any news about other capitols around the country?
I wish I could have made it, but my broken ankle didn't allow it.
Associated Press
Gun rights advocates rally at state capitols across US
Doesn't seem like the crowds were very large.
800 here in Maine, on a cold nasty day.
It was on Fox News

9news had a brief coverage of in in both the 5pm and the 10pm news. Very quick with no mention of numbers just "A Crowd".. Other than a few Libtards talking from their cars I did not see any other form of counter protest.. some searches reveal other local stories but nothing mentioned on the national level..
Had a family issue come up and could not make it. I went on line to Bing and found 1 article about 45 cities nation wide had some level of participation. I went to the Yahoo "Inquirer" and they did not mention it anywhere on front page. I did count the number of stories on the Bigassians and there were exactly 19 stories on page 1 involving Kardashians and 11 throwing Trump under the bus, so nothing new. A family member was giving me some crap about not going to the rally, I told him I will be rallying at the voting booth in November.
Just like the left that we all make fun of, these kinds of "protests" do nothing. Unless you're donating big-time or a significant business (same thing), you don't mean squat to any politician.
I couldn't make it because of work...only one on-call. It also got brief coverage on the local news channel here.Quote:
Nearly 200 gather for Second Amendment rally

An estimated 200 or so people gathered on the steps of the Idaho Capitol on Saturday afternoon for the Americans for America rally, an assembly of individuals wanting to show support for the Second Amendment.
The event was held nationwide; Idaho’s rally was organized by The Real 3%ers of Idaho. Saturday’s speakers included Idaho congressional candidate Russ Fulcher.
Picture of a guy from the rally inside the capital building (from the Redoubt News FB page):

One kind of funny thing happened a few times at the Denver rally. As I said, we got the middle finger from a few younger guys. To put an exclamation point on their protest, a few gunned their engines and sped through the intersection at 8th. The funny thing is they were (it seems) always driving something like a subaru wagon, a leaf, or some other environmentally sensitive form of virtue signalling. When they "gunned it" in many cases you couldn't hear anything, or at best a wimpy slow acceleration. More than a few of the pro-2A people who drove by had significant lifted pickups with equally significant engines that *roared* when pushed! Was fun to get such vocal affirmation!!![Beer]
I was pretty surprised at the number of positive honks there. Thought we would surely get panned.
I used to believe this, until I realized what the point of left wing political marches are.
It's not about action on that particular day. It's about generating a perception of political consensus.
The left engages in a march...that does nothing.
In the event of a left-wing march, the press cover the event, blow the numbers out of proportion, link the march to other such events, and give the speakers in-depth extended coverage. Politicians then use that coverage as top cover for implementing leftist policies claiming that they have heard the will of the people.
Meanwhile, that coverage has the effect of swaying the average person, most of whom will go along with a crowd.
That part is the most insidious, because as those ideas are picked up, amplified, and consensus is built, it allows the left to subtly outgroup those who stand in opposition to whatever cockamamie policy they wish to implement.
