I've been a member of this forum for a long time.
Why is it so difficult to post pictures in threads.
The issue detracts from this site quite a bit in my opinion.
Is it possible to post "insert" pictures into posts with your smart phone?

I do so regularly. It does not like pics with a larger file size though.
Hmm. I haven?t noticed anything weird. And I?m a 98% cell phone forum user.

Well, I haven?t noticed anything weird with pictures anyways. The thing where it replaces all of my apostrophes and quotation marks with question marks is a little annoying.
Who do you use for hosting Ray? I can't seem to post photos from my cell phone.
Are you able to remove the photos from the Tapatalk storage if you ever wanted to?
With most cell phones taking 3.5mb plus pics these days a 3rd party hosting app is required with the current forum settings I personally use imgur simple to use and grabbing the link code is easy if not on tapatalk
Dude. You?ve met me. I?m barely qualified to use my phone, much less try to understand what happens to my pictures once I upload them.
I?ll edit my post with the alligator warning sign. I know the picture will likely go away but no idea if it?s still on the Tapatalk server somewhere.
Ok. Deleted the alligator picture from my previous post. Copied the link before I did. Going to paste it below and we?ll see if the image still shows up.

So, I guess once my pictures go to Tapatalk they just stay hidden there somewhere.
What I really need to do is spend the time to skin and build out all our customizations on to VB5. We are still on 4, and it's having some issues with new smartphone softwares and hosting server apps. VB4 is quite outdated.
We get pretty slow around the holidays at work most years, so hopefully I can get something up for the new year. It's a pretty big process to move everything over, but probably time to bite that bullet.
Thank you J!
I never feed the wildlife but approach...yep me too.
I'll try tap talk.
Do I make the thread via tap talk?
Thanks!

Related struggling with photo uploads. I'm used to getting small pic folk have to click, but trying to post under Photo's --- Motorcycles. My post by clicking add image or manage attachments, both just put a link to the pic, rather than inserting it into the post. (Image also shows as a ? in the manage attachments window)
My pictures don't seem to be working as well. I'm using imgur.
"Insert Image" doesn't work for me either. Just shows a link instead of the old thumbnail. Been this way for a while.
ETA: on a laptop, not a phone or tab.
I host my images, and embed the links. It is slightly more complex, but definitely the way to go.
Google gives you this for free with a gmail account and there are lots of other hosting sites too.
You can post images and remove them on your end whenever you want.
Wish I had a picture of it, but in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park there was a BC cartoon at the overlook into Halemaʻumaʻu Crater (near vertical walls) that was done a la "Wiley's Doctonary" that read:
Pane 1: See Dick and Jane.
Pane 2: See Dick and Jane take in the volcano.
Pane 3: See Dick and Jane get too close to the edge.
Pane 4: See the volcano take in Dick and Jane.
The cartoon, as well as the overlook's parking lot (one of HNP's largest) has been swallowed by the recent volcano activity. Years ago I went on many a hike across the Kilauea caldera, to and from that parking lot.
O2
I openly admit that I don't know how to utilize the gmail image hosting stuff. Irving kindly tried to help me with it, I couldn't get it to work and gave up on it. I would be really happy if I could figure out something that allows me to post pics on the board again without it being a pita.
Try using tap a talk to put in images.
That's great if you use tap to talk but I uses my laptop to view and post on here as my phone is too small for my aging eyes. [Coffee]
ANy solutions for old school doing things?
Everyone can still upload photos that are hosted somewhere else. Anyone with a gmail account can host their photos for free on Google photos. I know there are other hosting websites, but I'm not familiar with them. Anyone with a gmail account that doesn't know how to use google photos and wants to learn can contact me and I'll walk you through it. Also, I'm not computer smart and I can only tell you how to post using chrome or firefox because I can't even figure out how to open IE on my computer.

Just testing
I'd probably send that lower back. Spider only has six legs. Unless it's supposed to be a tick.
