I think I?m about 50%.
In other words, about half the time I?ll type something and then change my mind before I post it and just delete it and half the time I?ll submit the post.

I think I?m about 50%.

I guess I'm either more decisive or more reckless as I'd say I post 98% of the posts I type.
I?m already wondering how many people have started replying to this thread only to delete their post and move on.
I delete maybe like 1 in 10 or 1 in 20.
I post nearly 100% of the time.
I make a lot of edits, though.
I'm probably about 80%...maybe a bit more.
But I have greatly reduced the number of posts I'll make to controversial topics.
About 90%.
The other 10% I decide just aren't worth it. They'll probably be misunderstood or twisted into something they aren't, so I self-edit as 'just not worth it', page back in the browser, and move on.
Isn't that what I typed?
Good post.
Shorter ones-80%
Longer ones- 10%
I just can't finish long post on time and just give up posting.
Sometimes I stop posting because it might be little inflammatory. :)
50% or so. Sometimes I type and the drivel on the screen doesnt match my thought. Sometimes the stuff was funnier in my head than on text. Sometimes I realize I about to start poop unintentionally because see reason one.
I've cut way back on posting because I don't think my thoughts translate well into text.
I only post when I have something completely meaningless to say, so 100% of the time.

>99% because in the thousands I?ve posted, I?ve only ever deleted a handful that I?ve drafted and decided against...

I really only post when I'm correct, or funny.
70% on a good day.
Well under half.
Mmmmmmmmmm. Nope none of them. I have thankfully heavily edited some before anyone could quote me. I think. Not that i really care, maybe. maybe not. As long as i stay 1K ahead of irv. At this point what does it matter ;)
I've gotten much better, so don't start composing a reply unless I intend to post it, now. My self-edit rate is probably down to about 30%, where a few years ago I would end up not posting 90% of replies. Though that was better than drunk-posting a few years earlier still, where I wouldn't even think about my posts or replies, just run off at the keyboard.
well under half
I personally thank forum for helping me realize posting long crap with all the evidences and proofs are just wasting everyone's time.
On a money and political thread, I was spending good 25 minutes putting up international trade/finance models/theories/graphs/charts/equation to prove something years back. (My guess was 2008ish).
Found out posting that would be stupid because no one has time to read that shit! [LOL]
Delete was a smart move.
The only winning move is not to play.
I'm in the under 50% club. I'm on my phone most of the time and can't really type everything I want to say. I usually start and then just give up.
Generally, across all the forums, I write and delete about 10% of my posts. I immediately go back and edit out something stupid or inflammatory about another 10% of the time. I've gone back immediately after submitting and flat out deleted several comments I've made this year though.
Generally speaking I don't post much which cuts down on quick replies that never get submitted.
Type delete type delete...
Think a filter was installed while i was sleeping last night.
Very odd indeed.
Login fail; incorrect password. *repeat* Login fail; unknown user. *many cusses, takes coffee break, grabs stylus to avoid fat finger fug-ups*. Logged in. Frustration causes me to forget wtf I was going to say, or so angry at self that I redact. So...30% I post..?
