What do you all do when you encounter people smoking pot at your location?
I was at a breakfast joint this morning, and almost had to excuse myself when the skunk weed odor came in.

Idaho, fortunately, still takes a dim view of marijuana use. It's not legal here in any form, for any reason. Possession of more than 3 ounces is a felony. So that sort of thing doesn't happen here.
I tell the nearest adult.
Felony for a plant.......

The parking garage at work constantly wreaks of it. The smell is nasty to me now....wasn't always that way.
I really wonder why people even smoke it any more. Edibles seem "more healthy" than inhaling anything but air and more convenient and discrete. But hey, I haven't partook (is that a word?) in any of that shit for many, many years.
Just promote vaping. Problem will eventually resolve itself. sarc
Of course, but I used to make edibles (brownies, cookies, etc.) decades ago and it got you stoned. Just like smoking, just a little different effect and it could be more potent that way...you had to be careful. But hey, like I said, it's been many years. Things change. Just seems like a more practical way to ingest cannabis to me.
Meh, people smell like sweat, literal shit, and even worse. I’d rather have to smell weed than stale beer breath any day.
"partaken" is pretty solid.
Annoying?
Yes.
Worth worrying about or saying something to them?
No.
Anything you would do or say makes you the ass.
Pick your battles.
The way I see it I have the advantage on them. I have clarity of thought and judgement, I'm not the stoned one.
I am more aware of my surroundings.
I have more cash in my pocket because it's not going up in smoke and I am not buying Doritos, Twinkies and Mountain Dew.
I could care less if somebody wants to smoke, eat, vape or whatever and make themselves as cognitive as a tomato.
Go ahead, dull yourselves to the reality around you.
I have the edge, I know the reality around me.
What does piss me off is the "unintended consequences" of the crap.
Stoned drivers that cause my insurance rates to raise.
Stoned drivers that hurt innocent people.
Good people getting burned out of buying a home with conventional financing because the dope entrepreneur has to do something legal with the cash they can't deposit in a bank so they buy a property over the asking price for cash. (Has happened to 3 people I know.) Partially responsible for increased property costs.
The population explosion of this state, the front range in particular.
My mother in law goes over to them & sniffs (being quite obvious) & then says 'oh skunk' in a very Minnesotan / Norwegian way.
Its very funny & usually makes the offender uncomfortable.
*Sniff* "Slider, you stink."
I'm most tired of the "its healthy for you maaaan" bullshit. Same ol' shit, 50 years later. Smoking things is quite the opposite, no matter what they are. As long as their not "sharing" all that "healthy smoke" with everyone, it doesn't bother me above a level of reinforcing my beliefs about how far society has fallen and the growing percentage of "dreg". Lets face it... when you smell someone from 70' off, they aren't an occasional user nor are they holding down a job, that's a 4 bowls a day basement dweller.
The practice itself (esp edibles) shouldn't be illegal, but our society needs to stop marketing it to everyone and their dog, especially smoking as "healthy" and without any ills upon society. I'd have no problem at all if they said "Hey, this is a vice no different from any other, it'll have some adverse affects on your life, but make you feel good really temporarily. YMMV. You're not safe to drive or operate heavy machinery under the influence and will get charged."
Instead, we get "SMOKING weed will cure gonnoreasiphilaids, make you stronger, better in the sack, have twelve babes on each arms, and never have to work again!"
The people that smell like weed are the same demographic that smelled like weed before it was legal as well. The people that use cannabis and are professionals don’t walk around reeking like weed. There is just more of them these days
I would ask that the restaurant manager locate and remove the problem from their premises. Smoking pot and tobacco fall under the same prohibition of smoking in and around structures. Be polite but firm and let them know that as a regular customer you expect a better experience.
My friends kid always says "smells like a loser is here" or "smells like s loser walked in".
Only 6 yo, but funny as shit.
Did you say breakfast joint
^^ LOL Good point!
Yeah. Fake story. When is a stoner up that early in the morning?
Say what you will about weed, Doritos, but leave Mtn. Dew out of this.
Some of the opinions presented in this thread regarding weed makes me wonder what member’s stances are on coffee, alcohol, and any one of the thousands of over the counter or prescribed drugs available in this country.
Wonder away.
Party on!

On May 26, a rancher reported to the Otero County Sheriff?s Office (OCSO) that his 13-year-old son was shot at while rounding up cattle on leased grazing property in the county, the release says. The rancher noted that his son was near a suspected illegal marijuana grow.
Such a force for good in this state.
Goes beyond a CDL. There are many employers that test for it and it will disqualify employment.
