Make the trip to Wheat Ridge and see Troy at Colorado Gun Writes
Oh and then goto Kickin Wings for a snack.
Dangerlee in Elizabeth also does it. Closer and no trip through the commblock
There's also Pat @Engrave Cave, he's between Franktown and Parker just off 83.

Haven't used them in a number of years, so I'd call first.

For sure, go see Troy at Colorado Gun Writes.
2 AR Tactical in Woodland Park did one for me recently on his laser. Turned out perfect. Small shop (very small) but a good dude.

I recognize that the ATF has verbally put out some info that contradicts the CFR/NFA and their own written letters, but I’ve never seen a letter saying “don’t mark SBRs”.
I’m not going to roll the dice on my next 10 years by not engraving an SBR just to save $50. I like my dogs alive and my cornhole the size it currently is.
It has been a while, so I dug around the ATF web site and internet a bit.
You are correct about there being no "font" requirement, depth is defined as well as how that is measured, size is defined as well as where that is measured from, and they also state Roman letters and arabic numerals (with reference to ATF letter 2002-6).
The serial number adopted must be comprised of only a combination of Roman letters and Arabic numerals, or solely Arabic numerals, and can include a hyphen.
These markings must be conspicuously placed on the NFA item (since we are discussing SBR's).
