LE is expecting there to be demonstrations and riots downtown tonight.
I?m sure plenty of people around the country are already agitated by the lockdown and shocked by the change in society. So now give them a good excuse to get out and riot, and I bet you will get some.
Few locations are immune from the actions of a bunch of shitheads looking to cause trouble.
I joked too soon [fail]

Lefties get froggy in the Springs?... I don't think that'll go the way they're maybe thinking it will.
Videos on the Gazette show more people than I would have guessed. I'm actually hoping for hail this afternoon [Flower]

Denver has issued a curfew at 8:00 pm for tonight and tomorrow night.
Got a cite for the rioting and anarchy claim or is that just from the msm?
I’m citing the Facebook pages I’d been checking out to see whats going on at the grassroots level. I can confirm from those pages and the live feeds I stayed up all night watching that 1, there’s way more actually patriotic conservatives going to these protests and from out of state. 2, there’s a lot of politically ambiguous people going and mobilized, and there’s a bunch of libertarian types as well. Far more than any antifa or pinko commie types.
Msm sure is helping conservatives make themselves look bad right now over this.
There were a lot of conservatives at the protest against the lockdown about a month or so ago. I was there. Very peaceful. There were a few of the professional protesters there, too. The difference is, they got no traction with that group.
ETA - we also got derided by the media and the powers that be for how illegal, irresponsible, and reckless our protest was.
Facebook isn?t a great news source? The hell you say.
I am starting to regret my shiposting [dig]
The MSM isn't feeding me anything.
...and some Joe with a cell phone isn't producing anything to base your life choices on. You get no context and you see what they want you to see, just like the MSM. Everyone has bias.
I've seen video from Facebook, including unicornriot.ninja, but I'm not shoveling that stuff here. I get information from many sources and make my own conclusions.
That's twice now I've seen you reference the MSM and how some of us must be just lapping up everything they say. But you turn to Facebook for the real what's up. Fuckin' really? Then you talk about massive change but can't even answer what that might look like.
Just so you know it's very possible for people to gather information from a variety of sources in order to form an opinion. CNN may be mostly pond scum, but if they air a story and generally get the who, what, when, where, why and how I can filter out the leftist leaning opinions. Same for any other media outlet. Except Facebook. I have too much self respect to use FB. But that's just me. And I just used CNN as an example...I wouldn't be caught dead watching those assholes.
You're really not doing anything better by getting your information from FB over anyone who uses some other media outlet. I can assure you of that.
I'm no fan of Facebook, but frankly, some of you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

If you like FB and it works for you, knock yourself out.
From Faceplant, but if true, this is why we need to preserve the 2nd. But I bet each of these people want ARs banned.
Police/national guard shooting people with pepper pods while on their own stoops. Fvcking dusgusting abuse of power.

I have no idea- can LEO/Nat Guard order you inside your house during periods of civil disturbance?
I know I have seen people told to "go back inside" during COPS/LivePD shows?
Is a deployment of non-lethal appropriate in this case, against a non-violent citizen on private property?
I have limited knowledge in the "on the street" legalities of civil disturbance management.
And the media is reporting that "protesters" are gathering again downtown

Here's KRDO's 'live blog', last update was 930pm tonight.

Short answer, yes. Assuming their state of emergency laws are similar to ours...didn’t see where it was.
Very similar to the situation in North Boston when they were looking for the Marathon bombers. People were ordered to hunker down in their own homes while the police were seeking the bombers. It's actually a protection order intended to keep ordinary citizens from being confused with the miscreants.
Police and NG have always had authority to restrict movement during extraordinary situations like the looting after Katrina but those extraordinary situations have (as far as I know) been somewhat loosely defined. It's very hard to be prescriptive on things you can't anticipate. I suspect the pepper pods are technically within their authorities during a situation like that but a bad idea (and certainly bad optics).
In general, I think it's better to consider these situations from a time-phased approach and let the situation unfold. If authorities are abusing or misusing their power, that will generally become very clear over time and the citizenry can respond appropriately. Decisions can be considered and debated after the fact and policy adjusted for the future but hamstringing authorities when they must take time-critical actions to prevent general harm (like the wanton destruction of irreplaceable artifacts) is a bad idea.
Some guy is streaming live, I recommend using the mute button.

I have no problem with people peaceably assembling like that to criticize whoever and whatever they like. That's a perfect example of how it's done. I didn't watch long, but I didn't see anyone acting out at all.
KOAA chased them all around last night hoping for something that would sell their commercial time, but alas, no rioting.
