We received a gift of 30 eggs from a single man with too many chickens to eat all the eggs they produce.
Of the 30, only 17 were good via the water test method.
Is this a normal ratio? I'd like to pay him in the future, but would need to gauge good/bad ratios to offer him a fair price, while also factoring the price per egg risk with bad ones.

So how old does an egg have to be before it goes bad?
I've eaten store-bought eggs months past the expiration. Your success rate will rapidly plummet the further away from that date you get however, obviously.Quote:
