Came very close to disrespecting a woman

So, it was my turn to get the groceries so I headed out to Walmart with my mask in hand. After filling the cart full of stuff and barely being able to breathe, I headed to the register where I would unload everything I just loaded, scan and bag it all myself, and load it all back into the cart so I can take it out to the car and unload it all from the cart and into my vehicle so I can go home and unload it all again and put it away.

Anyhow, the whole process/experience generally puts me in a foul mood.

I get to the self checkout and this (insert your favorite derogatory word for a female) is doing her entire checkout process with one hand so that she doesn?t have to put her stupid phone down. And from what I could tell from her side of the conversation it was absolutely unimportant and she was just having a casual conversation with some sort of acquaintance about absolutely nothing.

I should have just snatched her phone and stomped on it.

Should have told her put a little jiggle in that over grown jelly roll and hurry the F#$% up. But thats just me and the exact reason why my wife doesn't make me go grocery shopping.

My particular Walmart has a bunch of renegades that cut in line while yapping away on their phone, using it as an 'excuse' to 'not notice' anyone.

Get get their app, Ray. Put in the food you want into the cart, schedule the pickup and drive up, open the trunk and they put it in for you. I’ve gone grocery shopping a dozen times this way and it’s the best.

If they substitute something, it’s a bigger version usually for free.

Not always. Ended up with some stuff that may have been related, but was in no way an equivalent. I always check the substitutions like a hawk.

I actually did that the last time and it worked out great. I fucking hate grocery shopping at WalMart but I don't have any other choices in Altus. I did start driving a little further to Vernon, TX because the geezers I have coffee with in the morning said it was a nicer store. In fact, I've been there 3 times now and it's the nicest, cleanest, least congested WM I've ever seen.

And that thing in the photo is a Heffalumpopotomus. They're common in WM stores.

ETA: I'm having a hard time finding sympathy for you because your photos are not in chronological order. For that reason I WILL NOT be contributing to your GFM account.

LOL I never did the grocery app thing but I should. I hate shopping as much as the next guy.

I love when you go through the "self checkout" and there's a problem, or you have a case of beer or something, and it takes you even longer than going through the human staffed line. Bring on the automation and the auto pay tech.

The only thing I go to Walmart for at all is their OTC medicines because of the lowest prices I see anywhere.
