Sheesh. Makes me consider selling a brick myself... but I don’t wanna :(
Damn...
If only I thought that dollars would be worth more than primers over the next decade or so...
Sell primers to buy crypto?
Yeah, but for $2k a brick? I'd do it.
Is it the only listing for SPP?
I guess the seller is as in shock as we are...[facepalm]

Damn that’s very tempting. Lol. People have lost their damn minds.
Hmmm...
But I also smell some shill accounts on the bid history.
Looks like gun Broker let some guys retract their bid. The price is back down to $1025.00
Well, the guy posts a photo of a pyramid of primer boxes and then in the description, not the title of the auction he tries to clarify that it is only 1 box. People never read descriptions anymore it seems and the guy kind of fucked up, should have "1 box" rather than just primers in the title. Reading the title and then seeing the photo would make you think that you were getting what is in the photo.
I have primers for $500 1k and will toss in a roll of tp and lightly used surgical mask. Any takers?
Original description seems pretty clear to me, even with the photo of the additional boxes. He explains the extras in the description. I can see where someone might think there's more than one box of primers in the auction if they weren't paying attention to the description...but that's their fault.Quote:
In this auction I have 1 one box of 1000 Winchester small pistol primers. I also have 2 more available for the buy it now price. Winner of this auction will have first dibs on them, then the remaining will be listed
The "Buy Now" price disappears once somebody goes over that, which happens. "Buy Now" only works when someone actually uses the "Buy Now" feature. Don't ask me why someone would bid more than the "Buy Now" price but they've done it on my auctions in the past. That whole not paying attention thing, again...
Dang. What would Federal Bench rest small rifle primers go for? I'm not selling them but I gotta wonder...
Theres other auctions way cheaper so I'm in agreement with whoever said that auction being boosted by shell accounts.
Probably trolls bidding up and become non-paying bidder.
There is hardly any punishment for people who win an auction and not pay.
Many many idiot trolls trolling on auction sites.
This is very reason I put a check mark on immediate payment required on my buy it now listings on ebay. (Sadly gunbroker doesn't have it yet)
When you look at bid history almost all the bidders are either new or haven't bought but a few items. Is it really all these new people to reloading that are driving the bid so high? If so these people have more money than sense.
The high bidder has purchased 4 other reloading related items in the past month from different sellers for what appears to be fairly high amounts. $300 for 1000 primed .45 cases, $266 for 1000 .40 primed cases.
What's the saying, "A fool and his money soon part ways." or something like that. Or is this a "desperate times calls for desperate measures."
I'm like a few others, I have no intention of selling any primers, BUT everything has a price.
i hate price gouging, and some of the "sales" people have posted here are disgusting, but if i could get $1K per brick of primers i'd sell every one i have
Glad to see you italicized potential. I don't see the prices dropping. The very clear statements by the incoming administration about banning online sales of guns, gun parts and ammunition will make it more difficult to purchase.
I foresee them going after ammunition manufacturers as well as gun makers through a combination of taxes and fees, allowing product liability lawsuits to drain the manufacturers' time and money. This will make it very difficult and expensive to obtain insurance for the companies. The government's friends in the banking industry will stop selling loans to them and not allow individuals to make firearm related purchases with their credit cards.
With Vista Outdoors controlling three of the four main primer makers in the country, it will be much easier to slow the production of primers by putting a target on them for Federal and State regulations.
Well someone, we both know told me.
Their ammo shipments have been cut by almost 75%. As in here's what we're allocating, next order may be 1/2 that. Throw in a major ammo & reloading mfg told them. Don't expect ammo and or components to be back till mid 21, if not later. Even ramping up production, the lack of suppliers, due to covid (how convenient, right) reducing manpower for al industries. Will effect supply even more.
If and when that happens. expect to see black powder firearm prices, going over the $500 per mark. For a basic walmart kit gun..
As people said, there is price for everything.
I sold most of my carry pistol and I only have glock 43 (which my wife is going to carry) left for pistol barrel shorter than 4" barrel. Currently carrying 5" barrel pistol.
Sold most of my non ar Msr's platforms.
Sold all semi auto 12ga and 1 pump.
If they wanna pay 80% more than what I've paid, I am selling many except necessity firearms.
I did not panic on 2008, 2012, 2016, and will not panic on 2020. I actually sold more during election/transitions.
However I did buy many during 1994-5 for premium, because that was when I was eligible to purchase firearm due to age limit. :)
Primer rich.... lol , to the people buying silver and gold. Heh
Sell primer and buy Buttcoins.
