I am shopping for CHEAP night vision for us to play around at night , which can also be mounted on a helmet. (Under 250)
I am also looking for 1 lower end thermo scope. (looking at burris bts50)

The only thing you'll find in that $250 range is disappointment. or an app for your phone The lowest i've seen, average is the $500 ish range. Unless you find a sale. The FLIR seems to be locked in to MAP pricing

For what it's worth, if you want a cool optical toy that you can use alot, check out gyro stabilized binoculars. You can find name brand decent ones for well under 1k, and they make you feel like the bionic man Do try to check them out in person, because that powered gyro does make noise.

If someone does not mind making the drive. I could probably meet up in the evening east of town. Unfortunately I sold my Omni 6 (~25 S/N) & Omni 7 (~28 S/N) devices so I do not have a direct US Gen 3 Green 14 for comparison.
